I dont know if the story is old info or not. I read about 1 paragraph and got a call.
I guess I'm just confused. I never thought there was any doubt he was paid to investigate Trump. Maybe it is just an old story.
He was but that had nothing to do with the Steele dossier. The Steele dossier was all Hillary.
The timeline mentioned in his upcoming book isnt clear about which dates and who.
A dossier is a collection of information gathered on a specific person or organization. I’m sure whatever information was gathered from initial investigations by GPS was included in the Steele Dossier

All of the foreign **** you all are grousing about Trump doing, Hillary paid for as well. The GOP stuff was contained to domestic. This isn’t news or debatable at this point. You voted for what you’re condemning.
Except the Steele dossier wasnt what they did in 2015. Just stop trying to connect this. You are wrong
1) I didn’t condemn him for the Ukraine call
2) I do think it’s different when discussing a sitting President, and quid pro quo
3) to the best of my knowledge, Hillary (or the Republicans that hires GPS) offered no quid pro quo from the national treasury
Can you link me to the evidence that states the GOP 2015 contracting of GPS had no Steele Dossier information within it, and had no attempts to dig into Russian connections in the Trump campaign.
I honestly haven’t seen anything on the GOP information compiled, and am using common sense in my assumption that when seeking dirt on Trump - you go where it’s fvcking dirty.
I don’t remember. So many people gave testimony but it was clarified in their testimony.
Not with Simpson. He never stated it was domestic only research, when questioned by Gowdy. He even went as far as to say that GPS doesn’t allow clinents to specify what type of research they do.
So I surely do not know where you’re getting this nugget, which would be critical to my understanding of a separation between the two investigations.
Read the Simpson testimony. He saud the information he got for the GOP was domestic. The Steele dossier was all foreign.
Had to do with when Steele was retained. Simpson may have done some foreign digging, but Steel wasn’t retained until Clinton took over the payments.

So I don’t read anywhere in the testimony where anything you guys are suggesting is fact.
Please specify, this is an important point.

He states, among other things:
- One client's work doesn't bleed into another's. Each has a unique point of view, and different objective
- The initial work on Trump started in September/October 2015 (so not new news)
- Initial engagement ended in spring of 2016
- Most of the work for the initial client involved bankruptcies, taxes, and involvement with Russian mafia on US soil.
- Steele was contracted in May or June of 2016 for the second client.
