Anyone else watch the new Netflix series "Godless", yet? I'm a sucker for westerns so I don't want to go overboard but I thought it was fantastic. Haven't seen a good western TV series since "Deadwood" so I was pleasantly surprised at how well done it was.
For those of you who aren't aware it's a 7-part miniseries (each episode is about an hour each) and takes place in 1880s New Mexico and Colorado. It focuses on an outlaw gang, a renegade gang member who has an awakening and a small town in New Mexico that's comprised completely of women due to a mining disaster two years prior that killed practically all the town's men. The production, acting and scenery are all top class and make the show enjoyable even when the storyline seems to be moving a tad slow.
Apparently they're not currently planning on a 2nd season but that could change now that the positive reviews are flooding in. Anyways, just curious to see how many people have checked it out and what they thought of it.
