Since we have a little down team before our next game I thought we could switch gears a bit.

As many of know, I'm a pretty big NBA guy. For others like me, what do you think of this Golden State team? IMO, they're the most fun team I've ever watched. Just so fast and entertaining. I still think it's premature to call them one of the best teams ever, but they're on the right track to be in the discussion. And when you look at them, they're set up to be really good for a few more years.

More specifically....Steph Curry. I'm just amazed at the player he's become. And to think, only 10 years ago he didn't even get a sniff from most major schools, let alone blue bloods.

Here's a clip I saw pop up on my Yahoo news feed the other day. He makes it look so damn easy.

Yeah, agree with above entirely (I'm really enjoying having Steph and Draymond on my fantasy team btw). I love their tempo and how quickly they can get a quality look. Much of this has to do with how well they're constructed top-to-bottom. Offensively, their multi-positional versatility (or relative lack of positions altogether) makes stopping them extremely difficult.

Individually, Curry is incredible, particularly when you consider his size and how much attention he gets from defenses as a shooter. In addition to being able to knock down contested shots from way deep, and perhaps more importantly, he's made ball-handling his signature weapon. I'd almost rather watch him get to the rim at this point than hitting long-distance threes.

I haven't ever been super into the NBA, but I've been catching as many Warriors games as I can because I know I'm watching one of the best players ever in his prime. Curry is not just a phenomenal shooter, he's an outstanding all around scorer.

Does anyone think the Warriors use Curry similar to how Duke used Redick? The way Curry moves without the ball, the number of screens set for him in one possession to get open on the wing, etc really remind me of Redick at Duke.

He runs the Reggie Miller screen better than anyone, even JJ at Duke.

I love the NBA and right now, it's better than it ever was in the mid-2000's. There isn't much parity when it comes to the playoffs, but regular season games have been more interesting than they've been in a while.

I love what Steph and the Warriors are doing. I just can't help but think though that if they play a fully healthy Cavs team, they won't beat them in 7. The Spurs even will be tough.

I honestly feel like the Clippers might have the best roster talent wise, but they have a HUGE mental block that won't allow them to get over.

Two things with the Warriors....1) you have to beat them four times, and I'm not sure there's a team capable of doing it, and 2) that also means you have to beat them at least once at home, and at the same time, hold serve at home.

It's going to be a tall task. I don't think they beat the Bulls 72-10 record, but ultimately I think they repeat as champs. But it's great for the NBA. While others may disagree, I think it's good for the league when one team is really, really good and others are chasing them.

That is definitely where the NBA shines. When one team is good, things are great. Things are also great when you have two. Something tells me with the Warriors and Cavs, we'll have something similar to the Celtics and Lakers or Bulls and Blazers at the very least.

They are absolutely going to beat the Bulls record. I can see them winning 75, even after last night's mishap. I do not think it is premature to consider them one of the best teams of all-time and in today's NBA, I think they beat the '96 Bulls in a seven game series. The Bulls started Bill Wennington or Luc Longely all 82 games and together they averaged 42 minutes a game! They relied heavily on big plodding centers in addition to Rodman who played close to the basket and had zero range (50% ft shooter, 5ppg, made literally three 3pters all year). Forced to play small ball, the Bulls would have to play Rodman at center, or Toni Kukoc who couldn't rebound to save his life (4 a game). I don't think the Bulls could score enough to hang with the Warriors and I don't think they were built to play on the perimeter. Of course, if the game was played without the freedom of movement rules we have today, there is no way the Warriors could take 4 from the Bulls.

I really, really did not like the Warriors last year. But I jumped on the bandwagon after about 5 games this year. This team is the real deal and it is not very often you get to witness history.
