Greatest week of the year. Having real bad weather in ATL today and am sure Augusta will get it later. Right now, forecast for the weekend is good.

The idiotic call in penalty hit the LPGA yesterday and robbed Lexi Thompson of a victory she earned. Hopefully, the change in rules that are being considered will be adopted as this kind of crap needs to end. Calling a retroactive 4 stroke penalty from the previous day in which no competitive advantage or intent was present is bush league.

Agree. Lexi was robbed. Marking your ball is a routine thing that everyone does. But nobody replaces the ball exactly where it was before it was marked. There should be some consideration for a "reasonable" replacement. Christ, the putt was a foot. And I agree on the issue of viewers calling in. Golf has been and should be self-policed. The only people who should be making calls on rules-breaking are the players in the group and any rules officials present in person.
