Carolina down by 11 has tied Gonzaga up and the Zags look lost like they did against the Cats in the second half.

Make you wonder what could have been.

Carolina now up by two

Yup. Carolina is playing like NU did down the stretch and the Zags are choking it away.

BTW, I hate these 3 man broadcast teams. Raftery can't seem to shut up tonight. All three guys want to be heard rather than letting the game just play out.

Bball reffing is just the worst

Was thinking the same thing. The foul on their big man when his arms were straight up was poor. The one at the end on the perimeter was ridiculous. Meanwhile SC is constantly scratching and clawing at the ball on every possession without a whistle. Not right.

Some board bozo wondered just how good Gonzaga is. They are damn good. Playing for the Championship good.

You mean that team the "might" be a top 25 team that is now playing for the title. I guess they are the luckiest team ever.

Well, they pulled it out which helps me with my temptation to think that they are a team that wilts toward the end and NU would have certainly won if not for the bad call.

When you pull off the bench a five star center Zach Collins who in 23 minutes scored 14 points, has 13 rebounds and 6 block shots, you have a great team. The ESPN stat guys stated that only Anthony Davis and Danny Manning have put up a similar stat line.

Lucky indeed.
A team that reaches the NC game WITHOUT beating a single tournament-quality major-conference team by more than a basket or 2...NOT A SINGLE ONE...all season long.

Another thing is that they benefited from "upsets" in their bracket that allowed them to avoid their projected toughest opponents...Their F4 opponent should have been a #1 seed...it was SC which was a #7 seed (and still they barely beat them)....Their E8 opponent should have been a #2 seed...Xavier was a #11, etc...Not Gonzaga's fault, of course, but it helps a lot if your projected toughest opponents get upset, and then you play the upsetter, which is lower (possibly much lower) seeded.

Oh well....

Oh stop yourself. Do you ever admit you are wrong? Lots of parity in college hoops this year. Seeds were not as meaningful even though two number ones will be meeting in the final.
