Good Article on Cherokee Parks

I don't know if this was posted here or not. But I ran across this article recently and I wanted to share. I always liked Parks. But, I did feel that he never truly seemed to enjoy playing at times. Or that he really ever reached his full potential. The young man endured a rough senior year too. Seems like a good guy. Anyway, I thought maybe you all would enjoy the read.

Great article!

He was a really good player behind Laettner and then as a starter with Grant Hill in that 94 season..I remember him playing very well. It’s hard to get a player like him with how today’s recruiting goes and hang on to him long enough to develop the way he did and play behind upper classman.

Awesome that he’s turning his life around and still involved in basketball, and pretty cool he did his rehab at Duke after all that time had passed.

I liked Parks. I don't think he knew how to take Laettner. He could play though. OFC

Parks had a decent career at Duke,but Laettner scared the heck out of him!

It's good to read Cherokee is doing well. I remember when Duke played at FSU and even though it was a loss, Cherokee came out quickly and stayed as long as he could signing autographs for the fans. He was a nice young man by all accounts. Wojo and Trajan were on that team and really nice as well.
