Baseball beat Minny, Softball whipping Detroit 15-1 in the 4th.

Logjam for the 8th place in the B1G baseball table, with NU at 11 wins after today, OSU and MD 10 and Rutgers 9. OSU and MD play tonight. Rutgers lost to second place IU yesterday and are likely out of it.

Baseball will likely need to win tomorrow to make BIG tourney.
That might not even guarantee anything.
Northwestern, Ohio State, Maryland all win = 4 way tie for 6th at 12-12 (Iowa would also be 12-12 losing to MD)
Anyone know how THAT tie gets broken?
Bad news - if it's overall winning percentage, we'd be the 4th best out of those 4.

I have no clue about the tie-breakers.

But overall record would be absurd. Talk about an apples-to-bananas comparison.

We lost a rain-marred squeaker, 6-5. Hurts even more since we were indeed on the right side of the 4-team tiebreaker. And softball loses as well in another game with a crazy long rain delay, 2-1. Double ugh.

Tough day. Hurts more for the baseball guys right now, I think. Just seems like they're always paddling like crazy against the stream. Softball, let's hope they rebound tonight, would love to see them get two cracks at Louisville tomorrow.

After a long night, the women just advanced to the regional final with a 8-1 win over Southern Illinois. They'll play Louisville again tomorrow.
