Both defenses showed up, unfortunately for us, our defense was the first to break. Special teams, an area where we have a major advantage on paper, was also won by you guys, which was a major disappointment. I'd like to think most of our offensive troubles had to do with playcalling, and there was quite a bit of bad playcalling, but your D played very well. Likewise. Two very similar teams. I think our program is a little further ahead. Our superior depth and our better top end talent (Jackson, Walker, Lowry and Igwuibuike) were the difference in the end. I agree with your comment about special teams. Your punter has a hell of a leg but his inability to kick the ball out of bounds really had an impact on field position and the game in my opinion.

Good luck to Duke the rest of the way. Duke has some fine players on defense. It is certainly the fastest defense we have seen thus far, and likely as fast as any defense we might see this year in conference play.

I see you on the Duke b-ball boards, glad you stopped by. Undergrad NU > MBA Duke for me so the right team won, but will be rooting for you/us the rest of the year in the ACC!

Thanks. Duke looks like an excellent team going forward. The Devel D is pretty strong as well as quick. The offense has a lot of balance and a more settled QB that we have. There is something VERY special going on with our defense this year, but it still took a couple of big plays to make any difference. Without those 2 plays, we lose. Best of luck, but you won't need a lot of it.
