I would REALLY hate to do that but we need something. Johnson is missing basic open passes and is killing the offense.

Time to put Hoak in there and at restore the threat of having a QB that can actually hit WRs.

HAve to do it. Season is only half finished. We are not in a position to wait if the kid can connect passes even in the slightest we will have a shot to be good

You have to in order to save the season. You don't do it, no bowl. No bowl, who the hell cares

If the staff thought he could do any better than Johnson he'd already be playing.
theyve never given us any evidence that they believe that is true. my biggest complaint with this staff (I'm very pro stoops) but they are so pig headed. Think about how long it took to put johnson in in the first place

Probably true, but he couldn't do much worse.

Unless he turns it round NOW not much to lose, we really need trhe bowl nd have some QBs coming.

I wonder how muchbarker's injury cost us, probably never know, great first half, wonder when he got reinjured.

The are just stubborn as heck! Hoak has a way better arm the Johnson. Hell he played in a high pass offense in highschool. He can sling the ball around!!

If he's not better than Johnson, we shouldn't have recruited him.
Perhaps. But there's too much at stake the remainder of this season. NO WAY they're holding anything back at this point. I think they believe their best guy right now is playing.

I wouldn't waste him for less than half the year in a likely non bowl year. What are the odds he comes in and plays his first game against an SEC team and actually carries us to a win? He also likely wouldn't beat Georgia or Tennessee. So at best he probably does enough to win the Austin Peay game and maybe the Missouri game. I'm at the point that this year is another throwaway year and it will be time to get rid of Stoops if we have another losing record so save him for the next coach.

Why would you burn his redshirt? To achieve another illustrious 5 win season? Even with Hoak no way in hell Cats go bowling this year.

Losing Barker obviously hurt. But it's football, players get hurt. No way we should have nothing better than SJ as a backup.
