Hey guys,

What's a good hotel close to Cameron Indoor Stadium? Washington Duke is out of my price range and the Millennium was ok but last time it wasn't that clean. What hotels (decent price) have you guys used close to Duke? Thanks!

The R. David Thomas Center is actually a hotel affiliated with the business school right on West Campus. Not as nice as the Wa Duke, but clean and gets the job done. Plus, you can't beat the convenience. Actually closer to Cameron than the Wa Duke. I stayed there during my 5-year reunion in 2011 and had no complaints.

The Hilton on Hillsborough Road is ok.

The La Quinta just off 15-501 is actually not that bad.

Hope that helps!

I am not a wealthy man but did get the opportunity to stay at Washington Duke for a weekend. Skeelow22 if there's anyway you could swing it you wouldn't regret it.

If they're all booked, then try Roy Williams. He might have a house nearby that he'll rent to you for the weekend. Just make sure you mark "yes" next to the question on the rental application that asks if you do drugs.

If Roy's houses are filled you can usually find a few spots to prop up your feet at the Dean Dome. Its not super convenient, but it is free and there are plenty of clean-ish linens hanging in the rafters which are good for keeping warm, or wiping your behind. And don't forget the complimentary whine and cheese with every stay.
