Love Moreno’s top of the key entry pass on the soft break while they’re talking. That pass was Williams’s bread and butter and Pope’s offense sends those cutters constantly. Garrison is also a capable passer from the free throw line. Hope we have strong bigs passing again.
If this is accurate we should be all but completely unstoppable. This team has a huge number of primary strengths and perimeter shooting isn’t even one of them. Sure would be a deadly icing on the cake though.
Does this mean Goodman likes Pope more than Cal and he might speak more kindly about us now?
Listen to the KSR segment with him and Dauster from a couple days ago. It's darned near bizzaro world listening to Goodman talk about UK now. And he's got a pretty unique story about Pope and the Arizona (he's a Zona alum) job when it went to Tommy Lloyd.

I think so. All his interviews with the players were great. Really liked how good of an interview Mo and Lowe were. Out of the 5 or 6 Goodman did that day, that was my favorite.
Defense will be the key imo. Pope has never put a defense together that is good enough to get to FFs and win a title. I think we had the horses to be way better defensively than the numbers showed last year, we were just too hobbled and incomplete. Didn't work out.
We can be absolutely ELITE on D next year, especially when JQ is close to 100%. If the offense takes care of itself we can be dominant. Defense is how you absolutely demoralize teams. Most kids like to run up and down trying to score.

How exactly did he try to destroy the program? Genuinely asking. I've always thought he trolled UK fans. I've never felt like he tried to destroy the program. I certainly may have missed it.
