Yeah that feels like damage control to me. They absolutely looked like they hated playing with each other in each game that mattered. I’ve seen a lot of Kentucky teams in my day and not one looked like they did this year. Even the dreaded Tubby led Rondo team that had issues.

Why can't you accept that this is a case of players poorly suited to run the type of offense Pope runs. He has a shooting offense and they can't shoot! He might be able to make adjustments to offense to suit talent on hand. He might not. Also IF we get everyone healthy and at full speed maybe he can find an answer. Only time will tell. It’s not uncommon to have arguments with a ball team. Just like co-workers on a job don’t always get along, it’s just part of it. I’m sure after this 0-4 start against ranked teams and that 35 point loss, these guys have figured out that they have got to get on the same page to fix this. Sometimes getting your butt kicked is a lesson in life that you needed. Hopefully that Gonzaga loss was their wake up call.

I have seen this team up close and personal all year. They do not like each other. lol. That guy did this with Calipari he’s just riding whatever it is he can pump in his mind. Nice guy I’m sure but definitely not going to be anywhere near honest about anything bad with the teams. He’s a coach guy, not a program guy. There’s 4 or 5 here who would make excuses for a coach sitting 0-20. And they’ll be disingenuous doing it.

Kentucky isn’t supposed to lose all of their quality games and wait for a shot at the end. The answer is no. This is Kentucky. It’s not good enough and it’s not to be tolerated. These players haven’t given a rats *** all year and those of us there aren’t going to keep sitting in those seats watching this madness. They all need to be cleared out. If we aren’t top 10 all year and a final four team by next season, Mark 100% needs to be fired. This is the NIL.

Good point. It's probably just that our players and coaches aren't very good. The "they have dissension" narrative at least gave Pope, coaches and the players an excuse. If we choose to believe this limited perspective report from Goose, it just highlights how bad this team actually is. Let's assume his view is accurate. If that's true, then these players and coaches are just awful. They didn't need off-the-court-drama to make them awful.
It’s not true they don’t. But even if they did, Oweh, Garrison, a hobbled center, mid major shooter with no pedigree who didn’t turn out, depending on Chandler to be a stand out. It doesn’t matter if they did get along, the team didn’t have enough. The roster was poorly constructed.
We’ve already sucked by UK standards winning a few games now is pointless. We’re losing prestige now. People expect UK to lose so while many of these guys are doing the Calipari special “maybe march?” Our program prestige is sinking. Fire these men and clear this out. We need to people in charge and a coach with a pedigree now. It’s the only thing that’s going to get Kentucky back to Kentucky.

Chemistry issues or not, the real problem is this is a poorly constructed roster and as a whole they don’t play well together and don’t play hard. Honestly, I think the chemistry stuff is irrelevant. It’s just not a very good basketball team.
Exactly. That simply just leaves us with a bad team that’s poorly coached. That’s a bigger problem than simply a chemistry thing.
I love Goose but FFS people, UK employees him and his bosses have reasons to get him to put out this narrative. Just remember last game Goose said Lowe left practice early for some personal reason and then we find out by others at practice him and Kam were the 2 running the stairs and they played the second half which is the dead give away it was disciplinary. Goose thinks he's helping so I wont be upset at him but you cant just believe what he's saying as fact now.

I would prefer it to be an argument or a chemistry issue. That would at least give us hope for the future. If it isn’t a chemistry issue that means Pope is even worse than what some thought.

So you have no idea what coach’s speak and player speak are? You literally will not get truth out of them over a subject like that. Never.
When I played college basketball, we were instructed firmly freshman year to never speak about team issues with anyone ever. It’s to be kept strictly in house between the team. This is way higher level that that so they’re not going to say it.
It’s something that’s understood. The coach isn’t going to do it and neither are the players. All of that is to remain in house. So excuse me if I won’t believe the ones have will absolutely lie everytime about a subject like that. Of course they’re not saying anything. You expect them to say they hate each other? lol. Just nonsense. You want to believe it because it validates what you want. The truth you aren’t interested in.
Others like Goose dont know he even said he’s not inside. And even if he did his access depends on Pope. So he’s not rocking that boat. Let’s just let it be what it is. That doesn’t mean anything. If they had no chemistry at all, they wouldnt have so many wide open shots. THEY. CAN'T.SHOOT. That's the probolem right now, and rebounding but Mo has been out and JQ is coming and that will help a ton. But if they dont start making shots against better teams, it's over.
