You can add Carter # 11 as well . IMO he looked confused….out of position etc etc. I really like his potential…but…he missed the mark yesterday.
Got burned on the TD pass to the TE but otherwise I disagree with your assessment. Didn’t understand why Manny called an all out blitz with Wilson playing corner rather than King.

I suggest you re-watch the game. The play that you mention is but one of several that he looked like a freshman feeling his way through the formations. I am a fan of Carter who has “ Parsons Like “ potential was IMO ….confused and a click off with his reactions.

a second half shutout for the D

Considering the absolute 3rd string was in there as a whole, it's not a big deal IMO. The drive went quick, but they didn't get busted by any big plays. The calls were lax as well.

Perhaps the setting & pressure overwhelmed him? It happens. He has received lots of deserved accolades, but with that came UTAH gameplanning against him, isolating him in pass coverage @ times, which with all of our LBers is a weakness. He will learn and be better next year.

Carter had one tackle. Not a good game for him.

Harrison Wallace III dropped two catchable passes. The first for a touchdown and the second on a crucial third down when the score was 21-14.

Instead of the Allar bomb attempt, I wish we had thrown short for a first down. That would have at least guaranteed 35-14 and a second half shutout for the D.
That play had the appearance of the safest pass possible and maybe even “throw it away” instructions if there is a defender in the area

On the same topic - Elsdon - woof. Kid doesn't want to tackle.

Sometimes sub-par performance is a good thing - it gives the position coaches a lot of film to go over with him.

I don't like the way Singleton ran his 87 yard touchdown. It could have been better....

My biggest Debbie does Dallas Downer…..
I usually can’t waite for the NY’s day bowl games and spend the day tuned in to all of the games. This year, I watched about a quarter of the ScUM game and 10 minutes of the tOSU game. Watched nada on Monday.
My RPM’s (heart - nerves) were red lining anticipating a poor performance in the Rose Bowl and knowing a disaster I would be facing at work the following Tuesday.
Never made it to work on Tuesday, still home today with a sinus infection. Will face my work dilemma tomorrow.

We stayed in Vegas and my son bet PSU to win + the OVER which was 52 1/2. That last tuddie for Utah covered the over, so no complaints here.
