The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King had like 5 good endings, but they turned it into one long one and kinda ruined it. Cinematically, I think it would have been great if they could have left it at 1 or maybe 2. If you didn't read the books you would have likely been fine with it and if you did read it, you already know how ridiculously long the end is and what happens.

I also would have been fine with short clips from those scenes with a narration during them to finish it off. That's basically how the first movie starts with a quick backstory of the rings being created, given to the different races, the war that takes place, and then the refusal to destroy the ring. All with narration explaining what happened.

My favorite horror movie of all time... but no sequel? I have to know what happened.

How about a prequel?

Not sure what they would do for a sequel. I guess they would find 2 dudes frozen to death. When they brought their bodies back to be autopsied, they find out at least one of them is infected with something. Then you basically have The Thing movie all over again but in a different place.

Maybe have it on a huge cargo ship and the people having to keep the ship from getting back to civilization when they realize what it is. They could even revive one of the human popsicles somehow and then he has to go all Sigourney Weaver on the alien. I'd want the alien to do more than just pretend to be a human. I'd like for it to communicate more and give info to why it came here and what it's plan is.

It suffered from expectations. I liked the way it led into the KR version, but it just couldn't live up to the KR version which isn't fair but that's what happens when you tackle a classic. The number of people that think the KR version is the best horror film of all time is incredible.

West Side Story has the best ending because it's gawd awful and the most overrated movie in the history of the world.

When it finally ended I decided not to kill myself.

On a serious note, the first movie that came to mind was The Usual Suspects.

The Uninvited

The entire movie you think this chicks new step mom to be is some crazy lunatic trying to kill this girl and her sister.....come to find out the sisters been dead this entire time and the girl has just been talking to a figment of her imagination. Cops pull up.....sister disappears.....they killed the step mom and shes going to a psych word she had been at prior to this. The whole time she thought the new step mom/girlfriend was this baby sitter who killed families (named Mildred Kemp). Nope. Come to find out the baby sitter was the chick who had lived across the hall from her. Crazy *** underrated plot twist.
