Great scheduling, Big Ten

Even with basketball being played almost every day and night of the week, this week the Big Ten has the Iowa women playing the biggest game of the year on Thursday evening at virtually the same time the men are playing national power Purdue. Sure, I can watch one live and watch the other later, but no matter which way you go, it'll be impossible to avoid seeing or hearing scores of the other game. Why, Big Ten? Why?

I get that there are any number of considerations when putting together a huge schedule…….but this seems like something that could have been avoided. Do the schools get an advance “peek” at the schedules before they are rolled out by the conference?

Sure, but they could have at least changed up the starting times. I doubt they even made the effort.
