Maybe he can use this 'audition' as an opportunity to be the permanent head coach, or get the attention of some other program. Good luck, Greg.

I’m not familiar with the workings of Niagara men’s basketball, but why would Beilein be resigning at this time of year? Seems odd.

Good luck, Greg. This is a pretty nice opportunity for him.

Some kind of mental health issue. Basically had a statement saying there were things he couldn’t ignore anymore.

I was wondering the same thing, especially considering he was just hired as the Head Coach this past April but then I saw where dukehokie quoted your post with the reason.

Way to go Greg. Best of luck. The Coach K and Duke coaching tree continues to grow and spread it's broad branches. OFC

Here's what he said in his official statement regarding the resignation: "“Going forward, I must give singular focus to dealing with these issues, so that I can become the man that I strive to be."

Pretty sure it has everything to do with this tweet right here. I'm thinking he may have sexually harassed the director of basketball operations. One of the assistant coaches tweeted out this a few weeks ago and tagged the director, Madison Hahesy.

Here's a pic of the DBO

And Madison Hahesy has now taken down her twitter page. It was up less than an hour ago when I first looked.
