it would be a solid hire and he would be on my short list w/ Jeff Brohm, Leach, and Neil Brown

I'm old, I guess I should have said since Brooks left. My dates are not too good. Lol
That '08 defense was really good. Probably one of the better ones we've seen at UK in a long time.

And I agree to your point - all of Brooks' teams were tough as nails. Loved the way his team's played.

Very solid hire and knows how to pick assistant coaches as well. Had Mario Cristobal on his staff at Rutgers who is now the OL coach at Bama named recruiter of the year. Also Robb Smith who is now the DC at Arkansas.

Leach and Neal Brown? Why do you love finesse football?

I just said they would be on my list. Both have UK connections and I think if you're realistically thinking of coaches that would come here. Those 2 are going to be calls Mitch makes.

Brohm would be my first choice but unless some boosters strong arm Mitch, I can't see him making that call.

I have zero desire to have an offense that never has the QB under center with a downhill running attack. Look how UK was with Pinner. The Brooks teams with Woodson/little. Even Hartline/Locke. It's not about the bruising back but it is about having and Offensive line that is attacking. What most people don't understand is that it makes your defensive line/front 7 much tougher. I'd take Briles or Chip Kelly but I'll always settle for an offense that makes my defense tougher.

Not sure if he is a fit but Schiano recruited Florida very well for Rutgers and that's no small task.

The message board is changing coaches , nobody else is .
Changing who fires &hires coaches should be priority #1. Anyone who just wants to fire Stoops but then let the same man have the responsibility to once again hire a coach & negotiate multi million $ contract is distinctly part if the problem - NOT part of the solution to UK football.

Rather have Stoops keep coaching than Barnhart hire again

It goes without saying nobody wants Barnhart hiring anybody. Loves to hire cheap hires instead of proven top coaches. Takes someone else to do take that from him and actually hire a proven coach.

Why do people assume Petrino will leave UL? Huge buyout he is getting older and he makes great money now. Plays in an easy conference.. Why would he leave?

Wait, does Barnhart love to go cheap on coaches, or does he foolishly blow millions like a sailor with a winning lottery ticket? It's getting hard to distinguish between the indiscriminant complaints here.....

No they come here on the cheap then he lavishes them with praise with their memorization of bible verses and the low amount of change in the swearing jar. That praise is in the form of raises. Stools has had 3 different contracts here? Marrow earns his money.
