Guys I need to tell you this story from the beginning. I feel like a fool but I need to tell hit. Back in Sept. I got a call from a company called The Geek Squad. Not the Best Buy but these guys offered me a 3 year contract for $299.00 for maintenance on my computer. Now before any one calls me a fool I already know it. I doubt any of you would fall for it but I'm gonna tell you anyway so just read. They did do a good job on my pc and cleaned up some junk and it ran a whole lot better. I had just about forgotten about the whole deal until they called me yesterday. They said it was time for maintenance and would I tun on my pc. All started well when the guy ask me how old I was and I said I'll be 64 the 27th. of June. He then told me that I wasn't supposed to have paid the $299.00 because it was free to senior citizens. Still no bells going off because I've become accustomed to senior discounts and I like them. He told me he would have it deposited to my account right then if I would bring up my on line banking which I did. I have no idea how they do it but he ask me which account did I want to deposit the money. Since my wife and I are planning and saving to go to Utah to see my son and family I thought what a break here. I saw he money go into my savings acct. but instead of $299.00 it was $2,299.00. I right away saw that and he said it already was deposited and he could not take it out and I would have to send him the $2,000.00. I said okay what is your address. He said I couldn't do it that way and he was going to get fired because his boss had already saw it and the way I had to do it was go to the closet CVS and buy 5 I-tunes cards for $400.00 each and scratch off the back and give him the numbers. Okay now the bells are going off. He was on my cell phone and ask me not to hang up. I set my cell down and called my bank. No deposits shown. I told him that my bank showed no deposits and the people at CVS would not sell me the cards. He then said go to Walmart or Walgreens. I told him I wasn't going all over town but straight to my bank. My bank was already closed by this time. He said no, no don't go there. I told him I knew it was a scam and I was going to do everything I could to turn them into the proper authorities. He hung up but they weren't through with e. I checked and saw where they had moved $900.00 from my savings into my checking. I called my bank and transferred it back and then had all my accounts frozen. Had to go to my bank this morning and have all new accounts put in but they didn't get a dime but they still screwed me. They hacked my pc and just locked it up. I took it in and had it repaired for $105.00 . Still had to put in all my web-sites, change all my passwords. This took me all day. Lesson learned. I am not profiling or stereo typing but every one of them had a mid-eastern accent. Those of you who read this dsouth novel thank you for baring it out. Skysfooldad. OFC
