I read where Harrison Ford got only $10K for first Star Wars. Then got $20 mill for that new one.

Good choice. He was one of the few bright spots for me in Hail Caesar!

To be honest this was and is the one I am most skeptical about. Having anyone other than Harrison Ford play Han Solo seems sacrilegious.

Phil lord and Christopher Miller on it.
Don't worry about it not being good.
They took a children's book about meatballs falling from the sky and made it into a franchise.

Damn, must be nice. But hell, mf'er is Luke Skywalker. To me, as a kid Luke Skywalker was the ****.
And he did get pretty typecast after the original trilogy. Has he ever been in a good movie after Star Wars?

I know he's been a successful voice actor in cartoons and stuff but none of the stars of the original trilogy really became a superstar other than Ford. Fisher could have been if she hadn't been 6 kinds of crazy.

Absolute great movies despite guilt-riddled PTSD caused by George Lucas.

My favorite MH ASW movie (after star wars) was Black Magic Woman. Loved Wing Commander and Time Runner, Midnight Ride, and Slipstream too.

He is really great as Trickster in the Flash.

I really enjoy his Trickster. It was clever how they were able to call back to when he played the character on the old series.

He's a big comic book nerd, so I imagine he's pretty happy with how his career went being able to voice the Joker, Hob Goblin, Solomon Grundy, etc.

He directed and starred in a mockumentary called Comic Book: The Movie which was partially shot at SDCC. You really have to be a hardcore nerd to enjoy it, but you can tell how much he loves the comic book world.

They should've cast this guy! He played a young Harrison Ford in 'Age of Adeline' and not only does he look like a young Ford, but sounds like him too! Lost opportunity for the guys making this movie IMO...

Speaking of perfect casting for a young Star Wars character, look at Sebastian Stan's (Bucky/Winter Soldier in Captain America movies) face inserted on Mark Hamill's head in a side by side comparison. It's damn near impossible to tell a difference.

[laughing] that's the worst falcon Harrison Ford impression I've ever heard.

I'm glad they didn't cast this guy. There's a huge difference between imitating an actor and actually acting. I don't even think it's that spot on of an impression.

You're kidding right? Who would be a better choice? The guy they did cast is too short and looks or sounds NOTHING like Ford. The producers of 'Age of Adeline' had faith in the kid, as did Ford himself, to play Ford younger and he did a fine job of it. He would've done a good job. Too bad we'll never know now.

They tested something like 2,000 actors for the role. I'm not familiar with the actor they cast, but to beat out that many, I'm going to assume he's pretty good.

As for the actor not naturally sounding like Ford, that may be true, but we haven't heard him in the role yet so we don't know what he'll sound like. Even if he's not a perfect match, River Phoenix didn't sound exactly like Ford, but it wasn't a big deal.

As far as height, I don't know what the difference is, but even if it's significant, you can do a lot with camera trickery. Give him that Han Solo haircut and I think the resemblance will be good enough.
