I would say it takes a special lady to deal with all they have to deal with being married to a high profile head coach. I met her in the parking lot when I went to my only game at Cameron. She was nice as could be. I got a photo with her and an autograph. It was very cold and windy, and you kmiw they have to get tired of that kind of stuff, but she smiled and acted like it was her first one.

Yeah she seems pretty likeable and the former players look to her as an additional mother figure in their lives.

What I liked about her is the fact that she is the reason K is still around. It was her that gave him the ultimatum to leave in ‘95 for the back surgery. She told Coach if he didn’t do it, she would leave him. K probably wouldn’t have lasted as long if he didn’t listen to his wife. Now he’s old enough to coach his grandson and is still at the top of his game.

So yeah, we owe a lot to Momma K and the daughters for sharing K with the rest of us.
