There were several countries and branches of service responsible for security at DaNang. It so happens that we were given responsibility for security of the area where the Marine camp was. They were very unhappy about it and I don't blame them. I'd want to be responsible for my own security. One night our man mouthed to much and they threw a grenade at the base of his guard tower. Lot of respect to you marines.
