I was in Madrid last month, went to the Reina Sofia twice, stunning. I first saw it when it was in New York at the Museum of Modern Art, around 1970.I like this image because it gives a sense of scale.

It’s probably better than the one in Barcelona. The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a must-see for someone art-crazy like me but the wow-factor is quite low. (The first painting in @Midnighter ’s post is in Barcelona.) I have not visited the Picasso Museum in Paris.Picasso Museum in Paris is worth a visit. Amazing.
Sounds a lot better than the Mushroom Museum in Kennett SquareIt’s probably better than the one in Barcelona. I’m telling you, the star of the Prado is Goya. God, to see the sweep of his oeuvre, that was incredible. Velasquez in the Prado was as expected (peak wow) but taken together the Goyas stunned me. Jane and I went to the Prado three times in our five days in Madrid, lol.
Fixed.Gets you a lot higher than the Mushroom Museum in Kennett Square
I'm a huge fan of Goya also. I credit my high school Spanish teacher for introducing me to his work during her lectures on the great persons of culture in Spain. It’s probably better than the one in Barcelona. Yes, Goya showed the true Spain so incredibly well.I'm a huge fan of Goya also. I credit my high school Spanish teacher for introducing me to his work during her lectures on the great persons of culture in Spain.
I knew this was coming eventuallyI can't tell Beaujolais from Chevrolet or Goya from Goya. Guess the board gives you the opportunity to mix it up with the hoi polloi.
