They canceled the fireworks due to COVID. That's not removing the holiday. Fireworks in my neck of the woods are canceled all the time if the fire risk is high. We still celebrate the holiday.

They canceled the fireworks to prevent this bogus disease which is the primary attraction of the 4th of July.

probably none. I was informed that I am the only bigot who had never heard of this national holiday before it was mentioned that it isn't a national holiday.....I'm so confusssssssssssssseddd.
