SEC champion. Can't blame the kid after the cluster of a season we had. It saddens me to say but don't think I will ever see a Kentucky team win the SEC championship.

I don't know if we'll ever miss him. Not a lot. He might have a good career. I'm not giving up on him. But I think finding a back that matches or nearly matches his production is not that hard for Kentucky.

Personally...Harris is not better than Boom. Maybe in another year or two he will be...but I don't want Boom losing carries. He is a threat that UK needs.
I'm not 100 percent sure that he is better than Jojo Kemp. I don't care how high Harris is rated. Jojo can flat out play SEC football- the jury is still out on Harris. And Boom absolutely showed more a freshman than Harris as well.

No offense but you are pretty goddamn stupid if you arent sure if Alabamas 3rd string RB is better than a guy who was 3rd string at UK for most of the year.

Compare the stats for each running back, watch the film, and get back with me. Harris had a crap year and a crap yards per carry. Behind a garbage line, Kemp had better numbers in 2013, 2014 and 2015 than Harris did in 2015.

How can someone be a fan of UK Football and revel in the fact that a kid went elsewhere?

I wish them well, but I'm not going to use their decision as a means to down the football program I love. Why would any UK Football fan?

Jo Jo Kemp averaged 5.7 yards/carry running behind Kentucky's line.
Damien Harris averaged 3.4 yards/carry running behind Alabama's line.

I'm positive I'd rather have Kemp this year.

I wonder how much Damien Harris' rushing average would have bumped up if he had been given the ball 11 times with Alabama's front line murdering the likes of that pathetic Charlotte squad we put on our schedule? I wonder how much Kemp's rushing would have been averaged down if we had played Alabama's schedule?

Alabama played 3 garbage teams this year.

In those games Harris rushed for 122 yards on 22 carries. That's an average of 5.6 per carry.

Alabama played 9 real teams this year.

In those games Harris rushed for 33 yards on 23 carries. That's an average of 1.4 yards per carry.

UK played 3 garbage team this year.

In those games Kemp rushed for 245 yards on 28 carries. That's 8.8 yards a carry.

Against real teams Kemp rushed for 311 yards on 70 carries. That's 4.4 yards a carry.

Advantage, Kemp.

You took the bait. lol. One of those so called "garbage teams" that Alabama (Middle Tennessee) played beat the same garbage team that we played (Charlotte) by an even bigger score than we did. Middle Tennessee hammered Charlotte 73-14 and barely lost to Vanderbilt. Fact is, we probably couldn't beat Middle Tennessee.

Nice research, thanks, I was wondering.

But you are wrong, that is DOUBLE advantage Kemp.

By the way, what is the average star rating of Bams'a OL anyway, LOL.

Fine. Let's take Middle Tennessee and Charlotte out of the analysis and better yet, let's take all OOC competition out of the analysis, and let's compare how each running back did against SEC competition.

Kemp 62 carries. 296 yards.

Harris 14 carries. 10 yards.

Someone sure did take the bait, but it wasn't me. Game, set, match.

We're both wrong, it's more like QUADRUPLE advantage, Kemp, when we look at SEC numbers. :). Actually, even more than that but I don't even know what the word is that accurately compares those statistics.

Good for Kemp that he gets the ball more for the worst team in the SEC as a junior than Damien Harris does as a true freshman for probably the best team in the nation. Yes, you can win with that WHOPPING 296 yards that Jo-Jo Kemp achieved for an entire SEC football season. Superb, moral victory on your part. And simply another un-missed chance for free-entertainment for me, as yet another UK football fan satisfies himself by managing to fantasize that somehow we have better players (while referencing underachieving statistics) than those among the best football team in the country, in spite of our team being one of the worst.

While I think it is funny that people, myself included "who" when talking about the in state running back, I find it equally as funny or even moreso that we have "fans" that say, we can't blame him for not coming here.. Look, it isn't hating on a guy to say "who", it is a way to forget about a person who milked our program for every ticket, visit, etc. he could to basically give us the middle finger and go to another team to play (yes, I know, they are the UK basketball of football, thank you for the reminder genius). I would say it is hating on the UK athletics program to say to other fans that you can't blame him for going somewhere else. The kid would have been treated very good if not great by fans here. Instead he "took his ball and walked" to Alabama. Once again, I wish the kid well, but he is still going to be a "who?" to me... unless he becomes this awesome pro who goes to my Bengals. Then, I would say odds are he will never be better than either Giovanni Bernard and/or Jeremy Hill. Hey, who knows, he may be the next coming of Adrian Peterson/Barry Sanders/Walter Peyton/Eric Dickerson hybrid...

GO CATS!!!! We LOVE OUR PLAYERS HERE!

I knew he was making the right decision especially if he wanted to actually experience major bowls, SEC titles and national championships while playing for a coach that produces tons of NFL talent. I hate Alabama but he absolutely made the right decision for his career especially seeing what Bama does with running backs.

Even though I feel he played UK fans and coaches, I can't blame him for picking Bama.

But his tweet bragging about the SEC championship and kinda putting a dig at UK, is kinda hard to take.

Harris is going to be a good player, probably as early as next year.

Boom is a good player who lacks durability. Just can't seem to stay on the field.

The only problem I have with his decision was that he said he knew in November where he was going. That deprived us of the opportunity to sign someone else. It also precipitated the decommits we had late in the class. It's tough enough building a program here without someone sabotaging us. I hope he gets gang raped by a tide of stampeding herd of mutant elephants.

Kid plays for the BEST program

Highly debatable. Bama gets a lot of hype. However, they haven't won a title since 2012 and I will be shocked if they win one this year. OU stomped them 2 years ago and they look better than Bama this year, IMHO. Also, FSU beat Florida worse than Bama did. Change "BEST" to "one of the better programs" and I will agree.

The RB that I wish that we had gone after harder is LJ Scott, a 4 star Ohio native. IDK if we could have beaten out MSU for him, but that kid is an absolute beast!!

What an immature, unnecessary comment.

I just went from no strong opinion either way on Harris to actively disliking the little punk.

Hopefully he stays in Alabama.

Don't get hurt, either, because Saban will dump your *** in 2 seconds flat.

I agree with the other guy in his argument, but I agree with you on MTSU. We couldn't beat MTSU, take the probably out of it man.
