Why? Today? You haven't been paying attention to it because we were winning. It's just more obvious when we don't play well.

That's the reason Cal is playing Andrew more than he deserves. Trying to make him look better on the stat sheet.

Andrews been selfish since day one with only a few spurts of unselfish play. I can't put into words how mad I am at him.

Neither has played particularly well today, but facing a packed in zone defense the ball ends up in their hands more than usual. I don't call that selfish.

What do you call Aaron being unwilling to pass the ball despite being doubled? What do you call possessions where nobody touches the ball not named Harrison?

I call it no movement by the others to get open! Have you seen anyone cutting to the basket to get open? Really!?

Twins 6-30 today. That's 15% if your scoring at home. Oh, and they've taken half our shots.

If you're trying to imply that those stats confirm that the Harrisons have played selfishly, then I suggest you read one of the dozen of threads on this board complaining how BAD our bigs are! Sheesh!!!

LOL. It's actually 20% but I agree with the sentiment.

The twins are not selfish. The twins do what they have to in order for UK to win. A lot of times on offense they have to be the one's to make things happen.

Everyone get off these young men. They are good players and good kids. These kids are not robots or exist for you guys to bag on. They have parents and friends and lives.
Support them.

Booker started with three 3 pointers. He had the hot hand, and was open several times and Andrew didn't pass to him. At least twice, Andrew charged the basket, and the player guarding Booker got suckered into chasing Andrew, leaving Booker wide open. Perfect situation for a point guard - he has created on opening for the man who has the hot hand. Pass to him. Why didn't he? Is it selfishness, or does he simply not have the court vision to see what is going on?

If you didn't see the selfishness today then I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Nothing wrong with that.

Do you ever see either of them make a pass when they are leading a two on one break? There was one time today that one of them led the break and had a wide open trailer and still went to the basket, missed the shot, and missed both free throws. IN my mind they are the only players on the team who are worried about their stats and it is really showing up since XMAS break. Wonder who has been in their ears?

Yes 4UK, it was Lee and he was wide open under the basket. Booker was wide open a couple of times on the wing.

Interesting take. Maybe it's not selfishness, it's just an inability to see/find the open man once he goes off the bounce. Either way, not good for the team.

Their shots will start falling. Give them a break. I want them to shoot when they are open. The entire team is not shooting that well except Booker. It will come. I just hope it comes quick.

The most selfish and stupid thing I saw a Harrison do in this game was go to the basket trying to pad his stats when he could have pulled the ball out and killed the clock or gotten fouled, Oh by the way he missed the bunny layup. This almost cost UK the game. Was this selfishness or just pure stupidity? I will let you figure that one out.

What makes me think it might be the former is that Andrew DOES see his brother when he's that open guy whose defender got suckered, but he seems to go blind when it's Booker.

Regardless of intent, your point is correct. It's frustrating as hell to see the Harrisons consistently forking up SO many more shots than Booker when it's so obvious that Booker's shooting the ball better than them.

I can live with some of the mistakes they make in our halfcourt offense. What really bothers me is the countless times they are on fastbreaks with trailers or open teammates on the opposite side and they force bad or challenged shots (that they rarely convert) that would otherwise be easy conversions if they would simply dump the ball off to their teammates running the floor. They simply will not pass the ball in a 2-on-1/3-on-2 break situation. Love both the twins because they proved their mettle last season during the tourney, but their decisions in open floor break situations really frustrate me sometimes.

This isn't Archie Goodwin trying to make things happen. This is a 9 man rotation.

Ha, funny to hear this. So many people got on Goodwin.. but he was the only player who was able to drive on the defense and was willing to do it. I can't fault him for stepping up when the rest of the team was too timid.

This is different however. I'm going to chalk it up to playing for their home crowd.

Aaron refuse's to even look inside for a shot as it may mean taking contact. 20 missed three's say's it all.

They struggled offensively but I thought they played good defense. When they are hitting shots no one is complaining. Can't fault players when they are playing hard.
