I like how Allen gave encouragement, guess he's not the spoiled, A-hole the media makes him out to be. As far as Giles I hope he has a huge positive impact on this yr tourney.. GO DUKE!!

Grayson + Harry = #6

Actually I think Grayson and Harry's co-emergence, coming off the bench together, has provided us for the first time all season a (sort of) PG and a Center to complement our wealth of swing scorers. Those two have hooked up for a couple of beautiful alley oops in the ACC tourney. I don't think we had two alley oops the entire regular season.

Not sure I like Grayson coming off the bench because of the pressure that puts on Jackson..he had a defined role he was excelling at and that's a offensive spark off the bench ..but he's the goat so what do I know..I was calling for Jackson to start earlier in the season though..we'll see I guess .would have liked to have seen this when Grayson was hurt ?...been a crazy season ..if we cut down the nets this goes down as the biggest ship and impressive one for K imo.makes for a hell of a story

It goes without saying a true pass-first PG would've helped this team immensely. The pass back to the big man on the pick n roll has been there a ton. We just don't dump it back to them often. The lob has been there a good amount on the same play and I still don't think we have lobbed it up to the big guy but twice all season.

The game against Syracuse, Duke missed several lob opportunities over the zone. They got one later in the game, but they could've gotten a couple of easy baskets that would've been the difference maker. It's good when 1-3 share the ball, it's great when 1-5 share it.

I think (hope) that K and staff have defined Jackson's role. He starts because he has proven himself a valuable asset on the court facilitating offense, attacking the rim, and playing reasonable D. Behind him on the bench is a prolific, upperclassman scorer who plays with an attitude and a reputation. I kinda like Grayson chomping at the bit on the sidelines watching the first 5 mins from the bench.....not as a punishment, but rather as him playing his part. That's a huge one, two punch IMHO, and as long as everyone involved buys into the team concept and the attack plan K has drawn up I have NO issues at all.

I completely agree and then as the game goes on you ride the hot hand.

I'm one that wishes Allen started with Jackson, Kennard, Tatum and Jefferson. I understand not changing what's working but best team is when the lineup mentioned above with Jefferson or Giles is in game at same time. If it's what him and K have decided to do and Allen is in, then it just further proves how much Allen is a team player. Kid is top notch in my book

How many teams can bring an All-American off the bench?

I like Jackson starting because he seems to play better when he starts instead of coming in if we're trailing or trying to get back into a game. Grayson's maturity---as an upperclassman, in most cases---is valuable and I remember he came off the bench in 2015 and help deliver a title for Duke.
