....a vegetarian can be fat?

The other day I was ordering lunch and I commented to the bartender how good the steak was. She replied that she wouldn’t know because she’s a vegetarian.

I also asked her what local craft beer she would recommend. She informed me that she didn’t drink but gave me the names of two local beers that were the most popular.

Well, this lady obviously doesn’t eat meat or drink alcohol, so I wondered to myself why she was so freaking fat.

If I were to give up meat and alcohol, I better be the most sculpted S.O.B. on the planet.

You can eat as much meat as you like. Sugar makes you fat. Alcohol creates sugar as its metabolized. Eating meat will not, by itself cause you to be fat. Eating fat also does not cause fat. Your fat is stored unused calories from sugar, not fat you actually ate. We feed cows only corn and they get plenty fat, think about it.

I'd be more inclined to feed cows hay and grass. An "only corn" diet for a cow can be problematic and I personally do not know of anyone who does that.

Either way, your point remains.

Sugar gets stored as glycogen in muscles and fat, and thru a reaction called hydrolysis it is broken down and used .

If you had asked her for the nearest Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts shops, and requested a detailed summary of their merits, your mystery would have been solved.

Go to an Indian restaurant and order Malai Kofta...
She was pretty hot on That 70’s Show.

Maybe she was wondering why you were drinking at lunch.

I hate vegans/vegetarians. Not because they choose to eat what they want. Because they throw it in your face to squash your restaurant idea and then the next day you see your vegan friend post a Snapchat of a quadruple burger and gigantic blizzard from Dairy Queen.

Are you not aware that sugar is not an animal product or byproduct? And saturated fats aren't exclusive to animals either. One can easily eat 1000s of calories a day on a vegetarian diet. Any type of diet can be unhealthy if you don't eat in moderation.

It's very easy to get fat being a vegetarian. Nothing stopping you from eating Cake, ice cream, chips, candy, dairy. Vegan has some more restrictions and that's when it gets dangerous from a cravings stand point. You eliminate meat, dairy, eggs, seafood.. you're going to supplant those foods with crappy super-processed items and sugars.
