If you have a question about something crazy or record breaking negative that's ever happened to UK historically, the answer will likely be "YES" and the coach will definitely be "CAL".
I'm pretty sure (without looking it up) we had this happen once or twice under call from 2018-2024. Florida or UT I think. Someone will look it up, and I bet you it was another of Cal's gloriously-negative "record breakers".

I don't know the last time it happened, but I do know the 2014 team lost to UF three times.
If UF would have beat UConn in the FF, UK would have played UF four times.

Lost in the title game by 1 point then got shafted with an 8 seed and having to play undefeated Wichita State in 2nd round and then this happened. One of the most memorable Kentucky tournament runs of our lifetime.

We beat Bama for the 4th time in the Sweet Sixteen right before that LSU game.
I’ve always believed had we met Florida in that 2014 Title Game, we would not have lost to them a 4th time. (Higgins officiated Florida’s Final Four vs UConn. SEC teams never won a Final Four or higher if he was on the whistle, fwiw).
