As dismal as the year has been, the Hull/Robinson combo is the best two player contribution on offense since Jackson/Carr in 2016. Combined, Hull and Robinson have 1886 yards from scrimmage, 7.57 yards per touch and 52% of the Cats total scrimmage output. They are averaging just under 172 ypg, and with an average performance fighting for the hat would reach 2000 yards total, combined.

JJTBC and Carr averaged 229 ypg in 2016, an incredible 57.6% of yards on offense for the Cats that year. Their yards per touch was a little less, at 7.04, mainly due to Jackson’s back breaking 333 touches.

Biggest area of differences is touchdowns: Carr had 12, or almost 1 per game; Robinson has only 2 all season. Hull has 8 TDS in 11 games is compared to Jackson’s 15 in 13.

I will join you in this tip of the hat. JJTBC and Carr don't need further adulation, of course. We all know what special talents they were.

Hull has been such a pleasant surprise. Speed, shiftiness and power. Also pretty durable. He did have several quiet games, but JJTBC had some of those, too. Robinson - imagine him if we had Ramsey to throw to him. He got nicked up and missed some time, but, wow, did he contribute this year.

Edit: always good to see someone wearing #5 that is a key part of our offense.

Not to nitpick, but I have to defend the career of JJ and the incredible consistency and reliability he provided along with stable-to-excellent Hankwitz defense. Hull/Robinson is still behind the pace of JJ/Skowronek in 2017 - 2231 total yards, 15 TD's. That was slightly ahead of the JJ/Larkin backfield alone (how lucky we were with that duo for a season) - 2205 yds, 16 TD's.

JJ / Skowronek averaged almost exactly the same per game, but only accounted for 42% of total offense. You are correct that they were on par. A good game Saturday and they surpass them.
