He is right. Get it up court. I watched Wall last night push the ball on the Bulls and I miss that. Andrew can do that and the rest of our guards can too. Not as fast as Wall of course but faster than what we are now.

I agree. I thought the main purpose of having a deep team was wear the opposing team down. I thought earlier in the year, we were wearing the teams down with our platoon system. I liked the way we were playing much better when using the platoon.

Our average length of possession is 16.6 seconds. That's 42nd in the nation.
Our average length of possession is 19.7 seconds. That's 337th in the nation.
It's not US that's playing slowed down. It's our opponent and there's not a whole lot that can be done about that.

He's right.
I know Cal is untouchable around here, but they're just not coached properly yet on how to attack a zone defense. You can still drive to the rim and throw in inside against a zone, you just have to know how and when to do it. There's no way a team this talented should need 2 OT's to reach 70 points.

We have exactly one lob dunk in our first 2 SEC games.
Cal's tweak is having our guards drive more to the rim. Honestly, the only thing worse than Archie driving to the rim are the Harrisons. Neither can finish.
No mid range shots, not solid post up efforts, no lobs. I hate this offense.
But we are winning.

Sprint down the court, post up quicker. Drive the ball to the lane, pull up and shoot or throw it up high for the lob or down low to the bigs. Enough dribbling around the perimeter for 20 seconds.
You're basically admitting we're letting other teams dictate the pace. That's our fault.

Drew should be working on the runner or pull up from the sec logo in the lane all day everyday until it is his go to shot. Then the defense will have to respect it. After that it will be lexington lob city again.
To make it worse Archie couldn't shoot free throws.

Unless we are forcing a ton of turnovers on defense effectively ending other teams possessions before they want to, there's not much else we can do on defense. If a team wants to hold the ball for 35 seconds, they can.
All of the things u just posted has to do with offense. What do you want them to do on defense to speed teams up?

Unless we are forcing a ton of turnovers on defense effectively ending other teams possessions before they want to, there's not much else we can do on defense. If a team wants to hold the ball for 35 seconds, they can.
