If not, let's have it. In the past I've found out about some good shows because of this annual thread.

My current favorites:

  • The Walking Dead (AMC)
  • Fear The Walking Dead (AMC - Spinoff that just started last Sunday)
  • Ray Donnovan (Showtime)
  • Homeland (Showtime)
  • The Blacklist (NBC)
  • Modern Family (ABC)
  • Blackish (ABC)
  • The Middle (ABC)
  • The Last Ship (TNT)
  • Suits (USA)
  • Falling Skies (TNT - series finale is tomorrow)
  • Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)
  • Dude, You're Screwed (Discovery Channel)
  • Fat Guys in the Woods (Weather Channel)
  • Treehouse Masters (Animal Planet)
  • Impractical Jokers (Tru TV)
  • Tosh (Comedy Central - however it's getting a little too nasty lately)
  • At Midnight (Comedy Central)
  • House Hunters (HGTV, my wife watches it all the time and I get sucked into it)
  • Rehab Addict (HGTV, another one my wife watches, but I also watch b/c the lead lady is easy on the eyes).
  • Mountain Men (History Channel)
  • The League (FX)
  • It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX)

Series I finished on Netflix recently:
  • The 4400
  • Survivors

Waiting for Homeland to start.

The ole lady likes How To Get Away With Murder.

I really enjoy Wicked Tuna but the outer banks version is kind of annoying. They are either making southerners look extremely ignorant, or we are. Don't want to think about it.

Walker, Texas Ranger * see note below
In The Heat of The Night

* Cordell Walker, Texas Ranger was played by Chuck Norris. There were never any second takes by Chuck Norris during the time of the show. Perfect every time. His c-stars C.D., Trivette ans Alex were perfect also in their scenes because Chuck Norris said so. Texas must have been full of black belt karate bad guys because every single one of them tried to take Walker out. Walker was undefeated. Chuck Norris said for every one on this thread to start watching reruns of Walker, Texas Ranger and hear him sing the theme song.In the eyes of a ranger The unsuspected stranger. Had better know the truth of wrong from right cause the eyes of the ranger are upon you. When you're in Texas look behind you. 'Cause that's where the rangers gonna be.

Chuck Norris told me to have Walker, Texas Ranger as one of my shows and he wants his own thread on this board. I'm gonna do it because I don't want a foot going up the side of my head. OFC

Chip
: [to Ricky Bobby] Are you just going to let your sons talk to their grandfather like this?

Ricky Bobby: Hell yes I am! They are winners! That is how winners talk!

Carley Bobby: If we wanted two wussies, we would have named them Dr. Quinn and Medicine Woman!

But we didn't. That's why we named them Walker and Texas Ranger.

Highly recommend Turn to anyone. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time.

Also watch The Big Break, Impractical Jokers, Survivor, NCIS and that's about it for modern day shows.

Trailer Park Boys on Netflix is hilarious.

Old shows one of the most underrated shows EVER is Wings. MI-5 on Netflix is also a spectacular show.

Watched Wagon Train and Paladin along with the Little League World Series today. Tough game for the kids from Pa. Big lead very early and ended up getting blown out by Japan. Kids from Japan never gave up. Watching The Man From U.N.C.L.E. right now. OFC

I'm too a Walking Dead fan...just watched the 1st two episodes of season 5 Sunday night. I watched the first episode of the spinoff 'Fear of the Walking Dead', but I just didn't care about the characters. Wouldn't care if they all got eaten.
The Last Ship is pretty good also...and I'm waiting for Arrow & The Flash to come back on this fall.

I've started watching the 'Time Tunnel' (1965)...love that old show. But what has consumed me the most lately is 'Dark Shadows', the gothic soap opera from back in the 60's. I never saw it back in the day, and my wife watched it when she was a young girl, so I bought the complete series on dvd....1225 episodes!!! My wife loves it, and I do too.
We've watched 304 episodes so far (in about 4 months)....whew, only 921 more to go!

Oh, I've also been watching some 'State Trooper', starring Rod Cameron. Only the old guys will possibly remember that...started in 1956 I think.

I can never get enough seinfeld

Over 17 years since the final episode aired and I'm in the same boat. It's an all-time classic. Did you ever get into Curb Your Enthusiasm? If not, do it. I own all eight seasons on DVD and sometimes I'll just go on a binge-watch. Larry David is a freakin' genius.

@DukeDenver if you don't like Cheers then I don't think we can be friends on here. Probably my second favorite sitcom of all time. It will grow on you as you get more and more into it.

To be honest I don't watch much TV anymore....especially during the summer. Living in Minnesota we don't get a lot of time with nice weather so I take advantage of it while it's here. In fact, last winter I watched Breaking Bad and House of Cards in their entirety (looking forward to season 4 of HoC) and will probably have to pick a couple shows from the lists provided by you guys for this winter.

Good thread, @FearTheBeard !

Lots of shows that have already been mentioned, but right now Ink Master. It has solidified my decision to never get a tattoo, but I find it entertaining.

Never crossed my mine but I had a feeling I would be watching all these shows on classic television in 2015. I just could foresee the technology that was to come. OFC

Just current shows?

Mr. Robot (USA) is just insanely incredible, imo. So great. And so Non-USA.
True Detective (HBO) - unlike most people, I liked both seasons in their own right.
Peaky Blinders (Netflix) - if you haven't checked this out -do so. Really impressive mafia type drama from late teens early 20's Birmingham, England.

VCRs? They didn't even have televisions when you were a teenager, Sky! You're getting all these shows mixed up with the ones you heard on the radio!:D

You're close to being right dirt. we didn't have our own television till I was about 6 or 7. 3 or 4 channels and when it broke down it took a while to get repaired. Listened to the radio then and played outside. Played outside a lot anyway in those days. OFC

I was lucky, Sky! In the 50's our television was always going on the blink...tubes didn't last long and would burn out all the time. But my older brother was a whiz at fixing anything, and of all the lucky things the only tv repair shop was only about 2 or 3 hundred feet from our house. My brother would check it out, and usually it just required a tube, and he would head up to the shop (the guy was a family friend) and get a tube. Even if it was on a weekend, or whatever...my brother was going to get the tv repaired! Those were fun days.

Speaking of playing outside...I loved my 'guns' (toy guns), and I had cap guns galore, including one of those 'Rifleman' cap guns. I loved that thing, but somewhere along the way it got lost. Those 'Rifleman' rifles go for a small fortune on sites like ebay...wish I still had mine.

Favorite current shows?

Hannibal, but it literally just ended this past Saturday (unless there is a miracle)

True Detective

The Americans is probably my top, haven't seen season 3 yet though. The plot and acting are fantastic.

I simply loved everything about Fargo, just brilliant. That said, I probably won't watch season 2.

That's it. I watch quite a bit of other stuff but I don't think I'd call them favorites and most everything I watch has really has come to an end.
