Nope. I've only posted there once. Decided to avoid the headache from then on.
Yes, I was banned and didn't know it. In fact I had never posted there...ever. I wouldn't have ever known except that I decided to post on the thread about Mike Irby's illness. Of course, I do understand why it happened...even if does seem a little unfair. To their credit, Heelbent did reinstate me and I was able to post in the thread. I've only made (I think) 2 posts which were about Mike's illness, and JC's (UK fan) thread about the death of his father.
I don't think I would be welcomed (or tolerated) under any other circumstances.

There are some good posters on THR, but truthfully I didn't join a message board to talk to UNC fans...because they are everywhere here in NC, and I talk to multiple Heel fans anytime that I step outside my property. And I always wear a Duke hat, or shirt, or both so that usually leads to conversation. But Duke fans...I don't get as much opportunity to talk to them, so that's why I come to DI. I'm all about DUKE...and how I can make fun of the Heels in the process.

I got axed there years ago when they were really struggling. My last post was something like Roy is a good coach and they would figure it out.....when a bunch of their posters were calling for him to be fired. I got the boot....oh well!
I made the mistake of talking sense into a couple of their fans there today. Then you have Lobsters, closet UK fan, over there spewing inaccurate statements while claiming to be a Duke fan. Brutal.
I was banned for countering their arguments that Duke had a ridiculously easy draw on the way to the NCAA title in 2010.
I've poster over there a handful of times, but I have almost always immediately regretted it. I don't even know why I venture over there. I used to never at all, but after I've seen the posters here mention some of the idiotic things they say, I had to go see for myself. I need to refrain. As Twain said, "Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."
I barely post here and was banned there only for lurking and NEVER posted one word. It's probably for the best...

I wasn't going to post in this thread since I have never visited THR, but after reading the above post ^, I'm pretty sure it is not a place I would like to visit.
Any place that OAD would not be welcome or banned from, for any reason, is really not a place I would care to spend any time on.
OAD, you should be welcome on any site,, so THR, if you choose to ban or not welcome this guy, as usual, it's your loss, we'll take him!!!

Thanks, JCC, for the vote of confidence! Still, you have to keep in mind that there are a lot of stressed out posters (for obvious reasons) over at THR. And of course we must do our best to fan the flames.

LOL. I can actually see how OAD would get banned. No offense Dirt, but you're pretty creative and like to take the jabs. We love it, but I can see how it would drive them crazy. And you know I say that in the nicest way possible....you're one of my absolute favorites.
Every board is run is different. And while I love you all here, I have a tough time buying that you all got banned for little to no reason. It's no different than when this topic comes up over there. They have some posters who can't believe they were banned here for what they said, when in reality there really shouldn't be much of a question why they were.
I always try and take into the consideration in which something was presented and go from there. Posters visiting here must be cognizant of that and posters at another board cognizant as well. While something may be funny to them it's not funny to everyone....especially when posted on their "home" board.
I'm of course biased, but I do think we at DI (the mods) try and look at things from multiple angles. I only speak for myself, but if you're constructive, respect the posters and use general common sense it's pretty difficult to get banned. At THR I do think there is a tendency more to get banned for just being different, or simply put, a fan of someone other than UNC. But maybe I'm wrong too.

I see no reason to post over there other than trying to stir up a hornets nest. They don't like us and we don't like them and they don't care to hear what we have to say and likewise. If you post there they are going to make you mad with what they call Duke and what they say about our players and Coach. You can't say what you actually want to say to them anyway so whats the point in saying anything. If you are a Duke fan they are going to try to pee you off and you know they are. The UNC board if like riding a motorcycle, there are two types of riders, those who have had an accident and those who haven't had one YET. Two types of Duke fans, those who posted there and were banned and those who haven't been banned YET but will be.

Of course to obtain that badge of honor why not just for once suck it up, let it all out once and tell them the truth that they are all a bunch of homer idiots, their teams suck, they suck, they are idiots, their players are sissies, Roy wears awful coats and ties, they always say stupid things and constantly make fools of themselves. If you know you are going to get banned make the most of the opportunity.

crazy deserves to get banned for that. No matter how true it may be. If he was banned, it was warranted and the same fate would have awaited him here if the roles were reversed.
Now if he asked a question of someone who said those things here is a polite, not throwing it in your face style manner, he would have had a chance to remain eligible to post here.
Someone over there asked if any Carolina fans were going on to cheer for Kansas once UNC was eliminated. I posted a pic of Roy with the Jayhawk sticker on his sweater after Carolina's loss.

I never knew the reason I was banned but I'm sure I deserved it. I do remember being referred to a senile old mental midget pos by one of them whose name escapes me so I guess they are right about the senile part . How many of your can say that about the way they feel about you.
