Same stuff. When asked if he would consider a change in play calling responsibilities, Beamer said nope. We evaluate every week. blah blah blah

Beamer’s Beamer. He’s never gonna give a frank public assessment. I’d assume things are different behind the scenes.

Oh well. He’s got a lot more to lose with his decisions or lack of decision on the this matter than I do. Beamer has a lot going for him but things can go south in a hurry with a fan base and it’s hard to get it back once yoI’ve lost it.

I think some substantive changes will be forthcoming. And my sincerest hope is that Beamer is around for many years to come.
I would hope, and certainly thought, that coming from Lincoln Riley's program, that Beamer realizes that college football is an "Offense-first" game today. Even his old boss, defensive guru Kirby Smart, realizes that (having the number 2 offense in the nation).

This is a good way to put what I've been saying too.

We need an aggressive offense, etc. The game today favors the teams with explosive offenses. Even Saban "gave up" and shifted to that style.

I think that way has a higher ceiling than trying to play defense and control the clock, etc.

I fully want Beamer to make a change - but the timing is up to him and I trust if they aren't making a play-calling change right in this moment that it means there is no one else on staff that could do it.

We still want the team to finish as strong as they can - Satt is probably still the best option to get that done.
