He didn't want it, and said so without saying it

It wasn't about the money? It was only about the money!! He didn't want the job, he only wanted the perception that he would want the job to gain leverage in the corn fields.

He came as a player to build this thing into places it had never been before, Brian did the same. So, when given the chance to take the ultimate responsibility to continue what you and your family had accomplished you balk? Turning your back on something everyone in your family had a part in through the years for a place he hasn't been at for 23 months.....just STFU!

Every coach faces the same situation every time they consider a job change.

At least we can move on, and scratch the Brohm name off the list permanently. Thanks for the past, but your seat at the table isn't available any longer.

Season ticket holder since 1985, so spare me your spin from the other side of the table.

bigspender joined rivals on Monday, has a total of 3 messages, and obviously has no clue as to the history and where the program came to from where it was. At no point did my comment point towards a school with lots of "history"

The point that it was a mid major and isn't now, with goals in front of it that still relate to his families time when here was the point.

Thanks for stopping by, i guess.

Correct Cardwiz.

Im reading the Tea leaves here, but me thinks most Purdue fans couldnt stomach the idea of their "Mighty Big10" school losing their coach to little old Louisville.

The rumors of Brohm going to the NFL in 3 yrs or leaving them for OSU or ND, doesnt seem to get them in a tizzy. They laid the "loyalty" crap on thick, now its finish the rebuild and its okay to leave.

Big10 elitism and arrogance.

The job will be a three to four year rebuild to start getting traction moving forward. Would the patience be there from fans, administration, and donors to allow that time to pass.

Everywhere Bobby left had a tough time bouncing back, This was his first time really having hand in a program and is in shambles. Will need a complete roster overhaul, even before you can worry about building depth.

Can’t blame Brohm for not taking the job right now. It isn’t a move forward, but a step back from his current job. He comes and it does take a couple years to start gain footing, his rising stock has fell flat on his face. Hard to not turn it down right now.
