Heading to Bloomington today

I’m very excited to take my first-ever trip to Assembly Hall today. I’m driving my daughter back to school at Butler, so I’m gonna go a little further and watch the Cats take on the Hoosiers. Assembly Hall is one of those arenas I’ve always wanted to see in person. I have a credential, so I’ll be courtside (or wherever they have the media) and at the post-game presser.

Its a great atmosphere! I graduated from IU, and went to many many games at Assembly Hall during the Bobby Knight era...and during the runup to the National NIT Championship my freshman year and NCAA championship in junior year. What a fun fun time then! Indiana is a basketball state - Also during that time, Lee Corso was football coach - I never even went to the football games and I lived across the street from the stadium!

Other than NU's performance, I hope you enjoyed your trip to Assembly Hall. The place really rocks for big games when IU is good. This year not so much. Looked like the upper deck was mostly empty.
