Announcers gave a shoutout to NU because of Hearn
It was on ESPNU, running against Roger Federer in the US Open, so I'm sure the viewership wasn't high, but Hearn was instrumental in the US winning the game in front of a hostile Uruguyan crowd. Despite not starting, he played the 2nd-most minutes of anyone on the team, including the final 15 minutes of the game, and had the best +/- on the team while scoring 10 of his 15 points in the final 12 minutes. They play again today at 4pm in a game they should win. This is very cool, to be sure, but any idea what the viewership numbers were for this game? My guess is future recruits weren't tuning in...
Not sure what "should" means here (they will probably win, vs they need this win). They play again today at 4pm in a game they should win.
