I'd have to say Mayfield even though I think people like him should be disqualified..
I am not a Myfield fan or an OU fan, however...I'm disappointed he won it. Part of the criteria to win the award is integrity. He hasn't shown us much of that. Its unfortunate, but the voters have furthered the criticism that the award is simply the "Hypesman" trophy and equivalent to winning a popularity contest.

4340 yards passing, 41 TD, 5 int, and over 70% completions is much more than "hype"!
As for integrity, didn't Johnny Rogers win the Heisman?
They are indeed great stats and I won't argue that. Yes, I thought of Johnny before I posted. But, I still ask... is this trophy just hype and stats? Or is it the whole package; which the Heisman calls itself?I am not a Myfield fan or an OU fan, however...

Exactly. It hasn't been about "the whole package" in a long time. It's ALL about hype and stats.

The fact that he didn't win it was the biggest indictment on that award you can ever have, Mark Ingram had a nice year but it wasn't close to what Suh accomplished that season.
Lol check out this ****. Wut a pathetic lewzer.Hate the Heisman now. Goes to the best QB (or sometimes RB) on one of the top few teams.
It's ironic that two of Nebraska's greatest players, Tommie Frazier and Ndamukong Suh, did not win the trophy, while there have been some really questionable winners over the years (looking at you, Jason White). Four of the last eight winners have seriously questionable off-the-field problems. Cam Newton was bought and paid for, and never even should have been eligible to play, let alone win a trophy. Jameis Winston was a rapist, everyone knew he was a rapist, and FSU covered it up so they could win football games (so proud!). Then you have Johnny Manziel and Baker Mayfield locked in a competition for "biggest douchebags to ever infest a college campus."
Maybe allowing former winners to vote was a bad idea, since most probably have so much brain damage they can't be trusted to tie their own shoes.
