No doubt the guy is annoying as hell sometimes but I do admire his love for the game and overcoming cancer.
Amazing that Dick Vitale is still able to be out there doing this. For better or worse, his voice is part of the soundtrack of college basketball. I admire both his passon and his longevity.

Agree. Not at all interested in hearing him talk about/slobber on Duke and getting in his jabs at our fanbase.
1. Mute your TV audio and pause the game on your TV at the tip off.
2. Open the iHeart app or use your audio streaming source of choice.
3. Wait for the audio to catch up to the point in which the TV was paused.
4. When these two moments line up, unpause the TV.
Love him or hate him, that man IS one of the major voices of CBB and he LOVES what he does.

Dick Vitale is a national treasure and about as good of a person as you can find according to literally anyone who meets him.

Like him or not, he’s been great for CBB. I personally don’t turn the sound up when he’s doing a game. He annoys the hell out of me, but, I still appreciate him for always promoting the sport.

As someone late 30’s and seeing that turn in life where suddenly all of what you grew up with is old school and you realized what you had and what’s going to be missed, I take these opportunities to enjoy the past in the present as much as much as I can. I despised the guy in my teens and 20’s. Now, I’ll make sure my sons hear him call the game (when we get home from the game of course), so they can always remember. I don’t miss these opportunities, didn’t miss them seeing Pitino in Rupp during Madness either. Enjoy all of the old way while you can it’s all gone in the next 2/3 years. Since the NIL hit and a bunch of guys went out it’s already gone to a large degree.
I like Tom Hart because, for some reason, he treats UK like his home team. Even though he's a Mizzou guy.
This is me. Agreed on all fronts. Joe Buck (Jack before him) are my absolute favs across any sports. They can call the game and fill with great stories. No yelling needed.
Harts a great dude. He’s a yr older than me and we ran in the same circles at Mizzou (couple of my roommates were J school guys). He just loves sports and having a good time. Seems to always have a super good perspective and never takes himself too seriously.
No, Corso was Biden level awful. Dick is just getting up there in age but can still form coherent sentences.
Yeah i try to go easy on him now. Almost good to hear his voice now just as a sign hes still around and doing alright. Cancer is such a horrifying thing. Probably one of the few things in the world that can make me feel sympathy for someone no matter how I felt about them before. Not that I ever hated Vitale.
