We still considered the favorite for Hicks? I remember we were following his visit. I believe a CB was in for Renaud after his visit that weekend as well. Widely known as a Bama/OU battle from what I've heard. Any thoughts on either?

I believe we're still favored for Hicks and probably in part due to LeBlanc consistently whispering in his ear. LeBlanc states that Hicks is coming

Read that we have a CB for Renaud on 247. Renaud, along with our current DE from St. Louis were the 2 most impressive defensive players at one of the recent camps. Renaud somehow went down 97 spots in the latest Rivals rankings, though 🙄

Adebawore is from Kansas City btw along with Cayden Green. Wish they could get Eldrick Hill to come with them. Probably Bama for him.

Yea, Bama is the foregone conclusion for Eldrick unfortunately. We have quite a few OL commitments, but Cayden Green is the only 4 star. Hopefully Coach B got some ballers. Really excited about the future of our DL.

I had an interesting conversation with some ex-Sun Devils coaches last night. None of them are ASU grads but retired in the area. They talked about recruiting classes and the obvious coaching changes at OU. They stated that what Venables has done and is doing at OU turns 3 stars into All Americans. They said there is a very special chemistry when a team has 100% "buy in" like OU is presently experiencing. They commended Venables on keeping focused on the team under the recent adverse circumstances. They believe OU/Venables has assembled the most complete coaching staff in "big boy college football". Case in point: first year OU staff convinces a coach to leave Alabama!

Isn't Texas A&M one of our competitors for Hicks? If that's the case, given the size of the checks the Aggies are writing, it would be hard for me to be optimistic.

A&M is the main competitor for Hicks no doubt. Most recruiting sites have him going to A&M, but he went to OU's latest recruiting weekend on the same day of A&M's pool party. I think that says a lot about his seriousness involving OU.

To add to that, doesn't ATM have the last three or four 5 star DLine recruits on their roster? Hicks could be the centerpiece of our DLine while he could be fighting for playing time on theirs.

Great point! I think that is the recruiting strategy I would employ with Hicks.
