2017 Kentucky quarterback commitment earned high marks from QB coach Tony Ballard at The Opening Regional in Orlando. Read his scouting report of Jones here. Jones is flat out on fire as a recruit with a Sunday offer from Arizona State and other Power Five offers, recently, from Illinois and Boston College. Stock is soaring.

Not surprised. As you know I've been a big fan of this kid. Look for Florida to get in the mix soon.

Me too. I just hope that we can hang on to him. UK needs another QB like Woodson & Couch. I think that he can potentially be that type of QB.

I think he's a solid commit and know really likes UK a lot and not just because we were his first big offer. And I don't think he's the type to play games with us and will stay committed unless some situation just came along that was too hard for him to pass up. Don't think just any other big 5 conference school would be enough to replace UK, it would have to be top 10 type and probably closer to home. That's why UF or FSU would be on the short list of those I'd worry about.

Mac has really took on the leadership role in this class and I believe he remains solid to us unless the staff were to get booted or something. Only reason I could see him going elsewhere.

I agree. I guess my point was that's why it would take something special for him to even consider anywhere else. He seems to really like it here and can see a real path to playing time early in the SEC.
