Hinshaw does not like to play a two-QB system. Starter needs to know “the head coach and the offensive staff is behind you 100 percent."

Darin Hinshaw has familiarity with all of the UK QB options. Said today he recruited Drew Barker, Gunnar Hoak and even Davis Mattingly.

Hinshaw: “The good thing about this offense is we can do anything we want. ... We’re going to maximize what’s the best thing” for UK.

Just sat down for extend interviews with Eddie Gran and Darin Hinshaw. Lots coming later, but safe to say both are going to be very intense.

New Story | New UK coaches Eddie Gran, Darin Hinshaw demanding discipline http://cjky.it/1SQDTrJ

“We’re going to continue to preach the details of how you do things and we’re going to overemphasize those things and they’re going to do them,” Hinshaw said. “It’s demanded upon them every single day. I tell kids: To be coached is to be loved, so get ready to be loved a lot.”

"
and they’re going to do them"....strong statement there! That's what builds great teams.

Some guys better be prepared to get it done, or move out and someones else will.

Safe to say there will be some wr transfers. These guys have some talent and numbers to work with. It would love to see t.v Williams become a weapon in the slot.

Baker bone badet juice Timmons richardson greenwood holtzclaw ross Montgomery williams walker hughes. Williams and Montgomery are guys that have not got much play to this point. Both players in the slot will have a hard time cracking the rotation. I see a transfer are two.

I can't believe we didn't get more out of our wide receiver talent last season. Really poor coaching. Just pathetic.

I really hope these two new guys can get it done on the coaching front. I really thought we had one of the most talented receiver corps in the whole SEC last season, but you never would have known it watching our lack of discipline and poor play.

I hate to say it, but our WRs with an offensive coach like Petrino or Gran would have done some serious damage to teams last season even with a troubled O-Line.

Eh, Dawson was an awful playcaller but the receivers were very young overall. When your two star receivers are sophomores, you're bound to have some lapses. Just glad they're coming in next year being a year older and under a proven playcaller, who puts an emphasis on playing focused, playing hard, and playing disciplined.

Man I really like Hinshaw, he just seems like he will be a big time d 1 HC in a few years by his demeanor. I'm so excited for spring ball, I just wish that these guys had accepted the job last year. Makes you wonder that's for sure.

The development of our WRs last year probably corresponds fairly well with how past HS stars have developed. Burton, Tamme, Lyons. Sophs rarely jump up to be 1000 yard receivers.
