Not the point. Point is Kade has earned a scholarship and he deserves it.
I would think if Kade doesn’t get one this season, it’s probably been communicated that he neither needs nor desires one. Question: if a scholarship is given, can it be for one year.

The rules changed in 2014/15, that’s when the power five schools created 4 tear scholarship. From that point on all scholarships given to a player coming out of high school or given to a player currently on the team Not in their third year had to be four year deals or for the duration of their eligibility. . I believe if a player is a junior or senior, has been on the team as a walk on, and is given a scholarship, Those scholarships can’t be given on an annual renewal.

Warner and Isaac Armstrong probably.
I thought we were going to avoid giving scholarships to punters. If we want to avoid reducing our scholarship numbers for recruiting, it's probably best to give one to a senior like Wyatt Mazour.

True, but if I'm Kade and tuition was no issue, why not tell Frost to save the scholarship for another talented recruit? I'm sure the coaching staff would be thrilled with basically an extra scholly.

Frost would never do this unless Kurt was adamant that they wanted to pay Kades tuition. Frankly, I would prefer that they just give Kade the scholly. It’s a sign of respect.

I also think it’s stupid that some people just expect Kurt to turn down Kades scholarship just because he has the money. Kade deserves the right to say he paved his own way through school without relying on Dads cash.

Yup. I know hardly any are saying it about Kade, but not one person said Wyatt Mazour should turn down his scholarship offer just because his dad is wealthy.

I don't think that's a big issue. He would be being a good teammate if he allowed the staff to offer a scholarship to another player and bring in some more talent. However it could end up being an issue if the staff brings in another receiver that takes his spot. It's also an issue that walk ons don't get the same sort of respect as scholarship players do both from the fans and coaches a lot of times. He could be hurting his chances if he turns the scholarship down, and I'd see that as a bigger issue for the Warner family than anything else.

I think Scott will offer Kade a scholarship. Kade accepting or declining it will have no bearing on my opinion of him as a person or a player. I think if Kade does decline the scholarship, Frost is honorable enough not to use that scholarship on a receiver. Most importantly, I think Kade wants to win championships and, in my opinion, having one more scholarship to possibly find a game changing recruit could be why Kade might decide to turn the offer down.

Kade and the Warner family can do whatever they want wrt financing Kades college attendance. If a scholarship is offered, it’s Kades decision. His play has made him deserving of one and all of know that.
