Hatcher would have never gotten in trouble under Petrino.............

https://louisville.forums.rivals.com/threads/matt-jones.23630/

Yep, the same Petrino who has a son who, well:

Like I've posted in Rafters, my fan base is seriously delusional.
Damn I didn't realize that being banned from the Otis site meant I can't even read something from there even if it is pasted to this site:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::smiley::sunglasses::scream:

The only difference had he gone to Louisville is that he would've taken his buddy James Quick down with him.

I hope his lawyer can get these charges dropped due to an illegal search or planted evidence by racist white cops. Way too many young black men get entangled in our corrupt criminal justice system and the prison-industrial complex, all in the name of war on drugs.

I'm black, so that racist dog will not hunt with me. Running around with a pound of weed is a bit more than just for personal use.

It's purely race that let this young man down this path of destruction. What the hell does race have to do with this kid's stupid mistakes. I did not hear of any one holding a gun on him to have this in his car, if I am mistaken i'm sorry, but he make him exceed the speed limit also? Why do some of you alway's bring race into these type of stories.

It's an excuse for bad behavior. It's why got the Hell away from that crap as soon as I could. It's why I also endured my fair share of Uncle Tom catcalls.

I am sorry for anyone who has to put up with raciest people. It happens on both sides and way to offend, although it should never happen at all. I don't pretend to know how it feels to be a young black kid who has that happen. GBB

Dude are you serious? It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He got pulled over for speeding, with over an ounce on him. hard to hide that smell, the cop had every right the search his car. I smoked alot of weed in my college days as well but there's no reason to have that much on you, especially if you are dumb enough to speed while doing it..

Don't act like you haven't driven around town with a pound of weed in your car before...
Big difference in a pound and an ounce which is what he had on him. I know potheads who buy it by the ounce because it is way cheaper that way. I doubt he was selling it, but if he is dumb enough to get pulled over with that much on him then good riddance. Gotta be smarter then that especially if your on your last strike.

It still amazes me that they think they run a cleaner program than us. They can't wrap there little heads around the fact that they don't test for drugs ad hard as most schools. Junta Woodard got caught with drugs and steroids in baggies ready for sale and never missed a game.

We all know Louisville players only get thrown off the team if they get in trouble AND are not very good football players. And even then, it probably has to be their 4th or 5th offense, unless they are a really bad football player.

Yeah and quick had 2 ounces on him, but didn't get dismissed. I'm glad we are parting ways with hatcher but it just goes to show the type of program they run over there.
Hatcher had 16 ounces (1 pound) on him. I think alot of people my age are remembering "quarter bags" and forgetting that a quarter bag in our day was a quarter of an ounce, or 1/64 of what Hatcher had in his car.

Good for you. You get to the point where you completely ignore the race harping it's so old and ignorant. The shame of it is, it takes away from those rare instances where today where people truly are mistreated due to race and to those who really suffered so much and overcame in years past. The truth is people of all colors get along overwhelmingly well everyday with each other not thinking one bit about what color they are. It's a shame th ignorant few on all sides still do their best to try and screw it's up for the rest of us.

More than anything, this is a huge cultural issue. These kids can't get away from this stuff even when given the opportunity of a life time.

Plus, where does a collage student come up with the $1200 to buy the pound (if it was regs) $3000 plus if it was the fire.

That entire thread makes me just chuckle at UL. Don't post their numerous problems over there. I'm sure they will have a comeback

Yeah, if his lawyer can get the charges dismissed on some technicality that will prove he is a good kid, right?

That sounds like the reasoning some UL fan would use, if you can get away with it then it is OK------and with the NCAA in charge you can get away with a lot if you are good at cutting corners.

He was dealing drugs, Put his sorry self in prison. But I'm guessing he is a Louisville role model.

They are slightly sensitive over there at the UL boards. I posted yesterday that UL fans probably shouldn't be laughing at UK over this Hatcher arrest for weed considering 3 coaches had affairs, under investigation for strippers and prostitutes in basketball, and they had a LB on their roster who threatened his GF with a gun and this morning my post is gone and I've been banned.

The only reason Quick didn't get kicked off the team was because he was supplying the rest of the guys wholesale. That's called being a leader.

"tough disciplined athletic program where these and other shenanigans are not tolerated"...this has to be the funniest quote from that board ever. How many second chances do they give to players who have already been kicked out of other programs. What a joke

My girlfriend was a lady bird (dance team) for a year at UL. She said when the cheerleader was found dead in the football players dorm she knew before it was made public that it was a drug overdose. Apparently the cheerleaders and many of the athletes there do hard drugs fairly often and are rarely tested. She said that even the dance team at UK was tested every month. That would lead me to believe that drug testing at UL is far more lax than it is in Lexington. I believe UL tells the athletes when their test is as well so it's not hard to cheat it

I don't like louisville, but drug testing for NCAA football players is pretty laxed period. Most players know when they're subject to being tested for controlled substances.

Which is a BIG reason that BP's recruiting has improved this time around at Transfer U, word gets around. Probably one of the first things they spring on prospective recruits, that and the FACT (LOL) that it costs TWICE as much to attend college at their school than it does at UK------even if your tuition, books, food, etc etc are covered by your scholarship.

Just another huge strike against UK in the recruiting wars, and this one isn't even illegal.

It's true, Hatcher would have never gotten in trouble under Petrino. Now, he still would have been a drug dealer just like his supplier Quick is, but he wouldn't have gotten in trouble for it.

Because he is a damned idiot.
Watterson Speed said it best without being racist & from the prospective
of a black man.
He got pulled over for speeding & then the s--t hit the fan.
Usually white people who ***** about the police are people that have come
in contact with them for being stupid.
