Of the top 25 public universities in the state of Texas the whorns have the second lowest acceptance rate for potential students. aTm accepts over 70% of qualified students while texASS only accepts 39.7%. They ignore their own admittance standards to "cherry pick" those they want. You can meet all the requirements to attend UT-Austin and you are more likely to be denied enrollment there.
Just like everything else they do. Gosh they are a bunch of Whorns.

Yeah well, my sister got her MBA from UT in 2010 and now works for the United Nations in Vienna. They are picky indeed, but those who are picked can graduate and go on to outstanding professional careers.
There is more crime at texASS. aTm graduates earn more money when they leave school. It costs more to go to texASS. While 98% of texASS students were top 50% or better in their high school class, aTm students are more likely to get a degree... aTm admits more students and a higher percentage of them graduate...

Okay, but you continue to insinuate that A&M provides better academics. A&M is a great agricultural school and certainly the best in Texas in that regard. But UT's overall academics outclass A&M's in a very significant way.
One who qualifies for UT has a 60.3% chance of not being enrolled there. 98% of their students are in the top 50% of their high school class, while aTm's is only 82%.
So while the whorns cherry pick the "academics," fewer graduate and those who do make less money...

Okay first off, I hate Texas. I'm a Sooner fan.
I brought up UT's stellar academics, which is nothing embarrassing to admit, and you fire back with the words "that is very debatable" then you add your own Putin-Trump type lovefest pumping A&M's academics.
I get you don't like UT, of course what Sooner fan wouldn't? But this is a message board. It is a board of messages where anonymous people post a mix of facts and opinions when interacting with the pack. You get the picture, Malarkey?
It's a fine debate really, but the money argument is irrelevant as A&M grads average only $1,000 more per year.
