I was at the game. One of about 1,500 people in a 14,000 seat gym. Had a nice local beer, Foothills Hoppyum IPA. Had another......

Wake had a 15 point lead with about 8 minutes left. Baptist just kept pounding the rock. Danny Manning seems to be over his head as a coach....

Wake has a 5* Freshman, rated #25 in the country. The difference between him and Nance is striking. Very smooth, effortless player. Led the team with about 25 points and 14 boards. But the gap between him and the top 5 or 6 players is also striking. Ability seems to scale exponentially in hoops.

Wow, how exactly did they blow a 15pt lead to Houston Baptist? Did HBU press? Foul trouble? HBU is not supposed to be a very good team at all-- only slightly better than that atrocious Binghamton team we played...

It was just a slow death. HBU never pressed. They just made 3's down the stretch and Wake didn't. HBU had one scrappy guard, #23, and one big Olah-like Center, #15, who played well. Apart from coaches son-Childress and Hoard, Wake were pretty inconsistent. Wake shot 56% and 44% from 3 yet lost because they had 22 TO's to HBU's 10. Unreal.

Wow, a minus 12 TO differential would certainly spell doom for most teams, thx for responding.
