Not much...know Tom Herman is your new HC...but for myself expect a solid game against a good opponent...you gave us a tough game 2 years ago here.

You scored 50+ on a really bad OVC team yesterday, but that really bad team also put up some decent offense against you. Some of your fans think showing well against quality P5 teams might get you a Big 12 bid. That's about all I know.

The stats are misleading. Most of those yards came off of 2 busted plays and a td pass against our 3rd string with 2 seconds left in the game. Score was 52-17 for most of the 4th quarter.

They had -20 rushing yards and had trouble moving the ball outside of those two plays.

Not much except that our sorry *** big sister UK should be sued for the way they copied your team's helmet logo.

We know you guys are dangerous but with a new head coach and only the week 1 pounding of a FCS team to go on I'm sure we are mostly in the dark.

One thing jumped out of the stats to me in Houston's game yesterday was the Tennessee Tech WR that had 9 catches for a whopping 264 yards!

Should be a fun game.

Wow! How original.

Our current starting qb is Greg Ward Jr who started for us at wide receiver for the first 5 games last year but had to switch back to quarterback (he was our #2 qb in 2013 and some of you may remember him coming in occasionally in our last game against each other 2 years ago) to replace John O'Korn who was struggling and ended up transferring to Michigan.

Our starting running back is Kenneth Farrow who lead the AAC in rushing last year with around 1100 yards and should be a big factor in our offense this year.

The best part of our defense is our secondary with all of our corners and safeties being 3 and 4-year starters and easily one of the most if not the most experienced in all of FBS. Including projected first round draft prospect William Jackson III.

Our guys have a short week of actual work and may be a bit sore, but I believe we will be up to the challenge of containing Houston.

We will see if Louisville can get out of its own way and put some points up.

Tough kick time to get a rowdy atmosphere.

We have a young team and it will be interesting to see if they will bring in the proper focus needed to get the win after the rally vs Auburn on CBS came up short.

It's a legit concern I have, will the team be ready to play the way they need to play? Not sure. I believe our Offensive Line got handled hopefully they play better and whoever is playing QB for us has a run game and some time to make reads.

Houston has won their share of games over the years so I would expect a tough game Saturday.

I think Houston looks good w/ their new coach-- good hire. I'd like to see the Cards put some things together and get a rhythm to carry into conference play. Last year was off-n-on all season...if Lamar is the starter then I hope he can establish that, in which case this show can progress much more smoothly. We'll see-

I hope your guys give us a battle, you only get better playing the best. Unfortunately you are playing in our house. These Cardinal fans will not let this team lose this game at home. We have been where you are and ripped of the rear view mirror.

I like this match up. Houston plays a fun style of football to watch, and the biggest improvement for all teams come in game 2. I'm looking for a more fluid offense from the Cards and a better defensive showing from the run defense. The new back field will get tested. UH has Petrino's and the UofL players respect. Bank on that.

No offense but, playing up against a big front Like Auburn had on the offensive and defensive lines as well as multiple big backs this week won't seem as daunting for Louisville. Louisville;s D is dynamite as well. Biggest question for me is how does Jackson do his second week and starting from the jump. Excited to watch that kid he is electric and fun to watch.

Houston concerns me.

They have talent. With some experience. And by all accounts, a solid coach.

They do have to travel. And it is a new system for them. And it is our home opener.

If we come out flat, then I'll be worried. If we look sharp from the get-go, then I won't be as much. The "look ahead to Clemson game on Thursday after this one" kinda scares me a bit.

Hoping for an injury free game for both teams. The weather looks like it will be fantastic. Hope that it holds. The noon kickoff -- that kinda sucks. Looking forward to it.
