He certainly was! Loved that and one right after that BS from Flagg before.
Two and-1's late and hustled his *** off on defense! He deserves the hype for sure!
Wasn’t impressed with him. Until tonight! He stepped up big time. And you know he hates Duke.

Carr was my MVP. Tremendous 2nd half on both ends.
He was my player of the game choice. He turned the game around in the second half and definitely was clutch.
I’ve been hating on him for having some weak moments but he shut me up tonight. Huge plays down the stretch!

The beauty of our depth is that any collection of guys can beat you any given night. Tonight it was Carr's turn.
Oweh game 1, Brea game 2, Carr game 3...it's nice to know that different guys have the ability to step up for us depending on the matchup we face!
I kind of figured that we needed carr to play well offensively and to play good defense and he did!
I've been wondering all through the exhibitions and first two games why Carr wasn't getting minutes at the five. Even in the game where Amari got hurt right at the beginning he hardly played the 5. I guess Pope was just saving it? Break glass in case of emergency? It's definitely our most potent offensive lineup to put him at the 5 and surround him with guards.Pope made him the 5 and let him cook.

Carr was actually one of the players in the portal I wanted most as he seemed to perfectly fill the Stretch 4 role we'd so desperately been longing for under Cal. Was in a good mood all night at work after checking my phone to see that he'd committed. Happy to see him deliver in such a big game.
Apparently, according to field of 68, he actually started the postgame conference with a 1-minute speech. Im trying to track it down.

I really liked that look too. Carr and 4 guards is lethal, especially with Owehs ability to guard face up 4s on the perimeter (less so more traditional 4s).
Id like to see that look more often this year. If Carr and 4 guards who can shoot can all be on fire while on the court together, it could get ugly quick for opposing teams.
Just the fact that he surveyed the landscape of the game and made that change is so awesome. Never been so refreshed as a fan.
Truth. I made a comment about him getting beat for a rebound early in second half. He went out for a few mins, came right back and was really solid after that. He surprised me defensively in that game.
I said it a few days ago and will say it again. Kriisa/Butler, JR, Brea, Oweh, and Carr are our best lineup if they can rebound enough to get consistent stops.

Carr is that guy. When we need a bucket he is the guy who can get it. He is versatile and will have an advantage one way or another.
Plus in that 2 man game we saw, great pick and pop potential and there will be counters off that as teams scheme to stop it.

Roster construction was magnificent. It will be a different guy on a rotating basis
I thought Carr was the MVP and played a fantastic game, especially given he was assigned to Flagg most of the night ... had to wear him down on D and still performed on the other end.
No doubt Carr was the MVP. He had been lagging the first two games, showed his worth tonight. Except he did have a big man dribbling too much turnover in last 3 minutes. Pope going with him at the 5 to draw out their big was great strategy at the end.
However Garrison was having a great game.

No, that's not that good, but he brings a LOT of other stuff to the table other than shooting. And his free throws were decent last night. He needs to be on the floor a lot.
