He also did a pretty good job on defense against Lanier. The kid is strong, has good footwork, can block out and he goes after loose balls. He is always aware of everything going on around him on both ends. He is a heady player and gives his all while he is in there.

He was an EXTREMELY under rated player coming out of HS!!!

Yeah, his court awareness/anticipation combined with his hustle really helps him offset the lack of pure athleticism compared to other guys on the court.

I was thinking earlier today... how awesome could he be if he hit one of those late growth spurts and ended up a legit 6'7 or 6'8?

Court awareness absolutely. Larry Bird like. Not saying he is as good as that's a firing squad offense. But he has "THAT". He's going to be so good.

He's the most physically ready to play frosh we have, even over Chandler who is a couple yrs older. Wait til he fills out. Could be a tank!

I think what we're seeing is he needs exactly the amount of minutes he's getting. Love the guy, but sometimes success is a process.

He needs more minutes at the 3 spot! He must have a really strong core/base. He holds his position about as good as anyone and always is fighting for the ball!
I think that’s it. His base is really good. Plays with great balance which makes his reaction time quick
