"On quarterback David Stills motion

I have to work on that. I have seen enough of him. The thing that
impressed me so much the other day is what he did with his legs. He's a
real athletic kid, and he is real smart. He has to get the ball out a
little bit quicker." ~ Dana

This kid has had pro QBs tutoring him since the 7th grade and now a major flaw(that's from an article from last week's workout) in his passing motion is just spotted...can't be.

Major Flaw?? Is that how it was described? I haven't seen him so I don't have a clue, but a couple of things come to mind based on your post, 1.) Kids are hard headed and won't listen, and 2.) Kids are hard headed and won't listen.

He's probably athletic as hell and has been able to get by 'doing it his way', until now, when he's finds himself in an environment full of players just as athletic and even more-so than he is..... that's been my experience with young and athletically gifted players...... probably a hitch in his throwing motion or his footwork is all F'ked up and he's off balance and can't be anything on the ball.

Major flaw? You should have seen the look on....

Don Nehlen's face when he saw the All WORLD can't miss QB transfer from Florida, Bobby Sabelhouse(sp?) throw. The kid was the top rated QB prospect coming out of High School.

I have closely watched and he has the weakest arm so far along with a slow throwing motion but he is only a true freshmen who enrolled early so he has plenty of time to improve. He will be redshirted anyway so I expect him to get bigger and stronger and better.

Sills is a legit tall kid at 6-2 to 6-3. He is very athletic. Dana said he got the 3rd string reps over Chugonov Friday and then he let Chugonov get 3rd string reps Saturday to help them get some work cause they need it. Both will redshirt anyway but Sills has a higher ceiling than Chugonov. Chugonov is short and slow.

Either way Sills and Chugonov will stay 3rd and 4th string in 2016 again so I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or both transferring out in next year or 2. Its just the way things go. Crest and Howard are the top 2 the next 2 seasons and Crest has 4 more years. With 2016 recruits coming in as well I don't think Sills and Chugonov ever play a down here. Its just the way things go sometimes. Kids transfer out when the position gets crowded.

Again, there is a long and detailed thread on TOS on this very matter. Those guys are clueless on the matter at hand. That's no big deal but you are losing credibility with each post over there. Looks like they are bringing up your past opinions on David Sills and casting them in a negative light. May need to head back over there and straighten out the matter before it is too late.

Pipe down and let the adults talk for a second...it was interesting before you chimed in...

defense7boy..............you really are an insider. You are either a coach or a player at WVU. Or neither. I go with NEITHER. How in the hail are you 'closely' watching? What is your vantage point? Spell it out. Warez

In mid May we are likely to receive a 2016 QB commit from 4 star QB from Graham, NC superstar Jamie Newman and big athletic dual threat stud. Sills and Chugonov may never see the field here anyway. Its a numbers game. Tyhree Pratt is already on board but we are the favorites for 4 star Newman who will announce in a few weeks mid May. If he comes its likely that Sills and Chugonov may be gone transferred within a year or 2 anyway. Don't be surprised. This happens a lot nowadays.

Here is why. Crest already has 4 more years and he is a stud star of the future. He will be the man for a long time. Newman coming will be next in line. Chugonov is too slow and has a low ceiling. Sills is going to get stuck behind some bigger stronger QB's in Crest and Newman. Sills has a weak arm although he can run. He needs a lot of work. Tyhree Pratt will need a redshirt but in time could be developed here as well. Pratt has physical tools and size to work with. He is very raw though. Crest and Newman are studs though.

That's one of those areas that it's tough to pull a kid out of but he is very high on WVU. He was really impressive this weekend and the kind of player that has a chance to get much better.

WVU has a great chance here with Newman. We are in the final 2 it appears. I think the kid is actually smart and realizes its a great opportunity to play QB at WVU and in the BIG 12. He is getting good advice I'm sure his close circle.

As far as this thread goes, Sills has a lot of time to fix his throwing motion and add arm strength and size. He will redshirt anyway. He just enrolled early out of HS so plenty of time to develop his game. He needs to fix a slow release and add arm strength. The kid is athletic so he has something good to work with. In 2-3 years he could be good.

"We are in the final 2 it appears."

not even close. Days after visiting WVU, he was on his way over to Nashville........... He really like ECU, Duke, and is waiting on that UNC offer. NC State offer as well that he likes.

However, I look forward to the day if/when this young man doesn't choose WVU, and you come on here calling him "a big dummy"

Keaton we got a great shot here but I will gladly settle for Kentre Grier if Newman doesn't come. Grier is the real deal and he is waiting for his WVU offer. I hope he gets it. WVU has had a lot of average to bad QB's on their roster for decades. Millard, Ford....on and on. Pratt and Grier should get a shot here. They have raw physical tools you can't teach. Bring them in and redshirt them. They are better than Sills and Chugonov from what I see. Grier threw 50 TD passes and can run. Pratt had 5 TD's in the state title game. Big strong armed and athletic. Pratt still is developing fast being raw.

Grier is 6-2 legit or taller and is adding muscle to his frame. This kid has star written all over him. He is patiently waiting for his WVU offer. It may happen. These 2 WV kids are as good as our current 2015 QB recruits. I will take them and close up shop if Newman doesn't commit.

I think UNC may have turned a different direction with another highly recruited QB so Newman could be WVU bound.

Better question, when is Lamar Jackson going to commit. I thought you were pretty certain he was a WVU lock. Please check into this and let us know.
