How do you deal with annoying coworkers?

Act like they don't exist. I'm not fake. If I don't like you, you'll know it.
I just put paper towels on top of her bloody used tampons that she throws on top of bathroom trash can. Do it every month.
1-10...I'd give it a 7 or 8. And unfortunately he works in the same dept I do, so its hard to act like he doesn't exist.
He smarts off and whines all the time. Its awful. Everyone at works hates him. The bosses know he annoys and pisses everyone off but never do anything about it.
Assuming you can't change him or anything about your responsibilities so as you limit interactions with him, you have to change how you react internally to his idiocy. Make a conscious decision that his behavior won't annoy you and then eventually it actually won't and at times you may be pleasantly surprised and happy he wasn't as big of an idiot as he could've been.
YOu could also emulate his behavior right back at him and probably get some enjoyment out of that. Maybe doing so even makes him realise what a ***** he is.

I work with this trashy ***** who everyone else hates because she doesn't belong. It's a bunch of college-educated people and her high school diploma. (She can't comprehend big words and doesn't understand anything that isn't Reality-TV level smart.) She nailed the interview, apparently, but can't do the job very well. But, she took the job at a pay grade much lower than the rest of us, aka a bean counter's wet dream - hire someone for dirt cheap and count on the actual skilled employees to pick up the slack = profit.
We work in an office setting. She makes personal calls ON SPEAKER PHONE, brags about living in a "classy" trailer park, dresses like a combination of a slut and female rodeo participant, makes out with her-soon-to-be third husband in the parking lot on her lunch, tells all her personal business unprompted (greatest hits: knocked up in high school, married in high school, went to jail twice in separate domestic disputes, etc.) and is a walking redneck/white trash stereotype neck tats and all.
I tried being nice. I've tried headphones. Now, I'm going with ignoring her stupid redneck ***. I give our "team leader" **** for hiring her frequently. Bad coworkers are the worst.

Dealing with this myself right now. I laid everything out in my evaluation last week for the area manager to hear, but ultimately since the other guy tells him he doesn't know of anything that is bothersome and lies as if we get along, it is up to my area manager to make a call.
So I have taken a few interviews and applied for another job with a selected few companies. It isn't that I want to quit personally, but I can't attempt to care whether that guy hits bonuses/quotas what so ever and my job is sales and indirectly impact whether he does.
If it is in an office situation honestly I'd be professional however make sure the person knew you think very little of him. This way naturally he will keep his distance.

Not necessarily in every situation. But in this particular one, yes. She can't keep up mentally and doesn't understand basic job terminology because it's a field that requires a specific education OR an equivalent amount of on-the-job experience. She has neither. It was a bad hire.
I don't deal well with morons, especially ones whose incompetence make my job harder. Surely, as a military man you understand this. We're expected to pull equal weight. Right now the rest of us are pulling our weight plus hers and it's been 10 months.
C'mon man. Don't try to bust my balls for not wanting to wipe some unqualified, uneducated moron's *** on a daily basis.
Not saying she is not, only saying trying to qualify your post originally with the we're better because we are college educated kind of sends a snobbish message before the meat.

The guy that's my supervisor is a complete dipship most days. We work in a hospital and he walks down the halls dropping f-bombs for everyone to hear. A few days ago, HR told him he was due to take sexual harassment training. I overheard him complaining to the boss that it should only be required after you've harassed someone. (He was serious about this). In six months he'll be head of our dept.
He's smart and can be likable, but behaves like he's 13 a lot of the time.
Anyways, I just try to ignore it since he writes great reviews for me.

I'm 100% in favor of this principle. If you don't know you shouldn't sexually harass women at work, you shouldn't have gotten the job in the first place.

It's incredible that he still works here. He hired a male stripper to perform for our secretaries one year for admin professional day.

I have worked with Ph D's that I wound up covering for that did not pull their own weight. I worked with one that spent a career doing everything but his job. Level of education is not a good indicator of productivity.
I have had numerous annoying co-workers. The worst was a guy with manic depression and schizophrenia. At the same time another guy we worked with was also schizophrenic. My boss did not recognize either problem and thought I was the problem when I reported strange behaviors. I about went nuts until I transferred out. Then the schizo threatened to kill everyone making my boss realize I was correct all along.

I had a supervisor like that. Happiest day of my career when he was no longer my supervisor. No great ratings from this guy.
Shocking he was promoted to that position. Refers to male co- workers as girls in mixed company. Not sure how he has not been canned.
I had a guy who worked for me who was the most disgusting eater imaginable. You could hear him smack and slurp for a mile. Just a total slob.

The only real problems I have is the office mooch. Puts no money into the office fund for coffee and snacks but, drinks more coffee and eats more snacks than just about everyone combined. Says he is always broke. Also voted Obama and Hillary, sound familiar? I usually make the runs at the nearest Sam's for the supplies but, have refused the last two weeks to do so until this is addressed. Supplies are almost out and co-workers are starting to complain.
I should've clarified that at my particular place of employment a degree is *usually required to do what we do. It's the first line of the education requirement.
It probably was snobbish to say, but I went into substantial debt to pay for my education and the fact I'm supposed to be considered equal to some yokel off the street that I have to help train and get up to speed rubs me the wrong way. When she screws up the so-called "veteran" employees get the *** chewing, not her.

We'd have eng/manu/sales breakfasts about twice/year for morale support. This ******* would make a plate of food, run back to his office and drop it off, then get back in line for a second plate while the first full plate was getting cold on his desk.
Same dude ate my frozen Lean Cuisine meals from the break room freezer. Said it was in there for over a week so he thought nobody was going to eat it. Then he ate some of my frozen waffles and when I confronted him, he told me there was a whole box in there... help myself.
Worked with a fresh Georgia Tech ME for a few years in the 90's that had no idea what real structural steel actually looked like... he'd never even seen a piece of c-channel or I-beam. Only pictures in books. I **** you not.
